So my parents and I are leaving tomorrow at lunch to go to Los Angeles for Thanksgiving to spend it with Cooper and so they can meet his girlfriend. The same girlfriend I met in August. This is kind of serious for Cooper. I’m excited about some time in the warmer weather of southern California. I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Somehow in all the excitement I didn’t even manage to get a picture of me as the devil and @daresmythe as an angel. But it was a lot of fun. Meanwhile, having a little vampire fun...
There was the most adorable picture floating around yesterday of one of the USA mens volleyball players and one of the USA girls gymnasts, with a two foot height difference. It really just is amazing how different sports require different sized and shaped people and just because they don’t all look the same doesn’t mean they’re not all fit. I mean some of those volleyball guys are near seven feet tall. Wow!
I definitely enjoy any type of relationship (be it platonic, romantic, professional, teammates, etc,) where one is tall and the other isn’t and they just compliment each other so well.
Our neighbours have a large garden in their backyard and today they stopped by with a bunch of fresh vegetables out of their garden. I’ve been googling recipes to try and use as many of these in a meal for tomorrow night. Any ideas? I have potatoes, carrots, beans, onions, and zucchini.
Finally got Cooper to admit...
...he’s got a semi-serious girlfriend. It wasn’t too hard to piece together with the sometimes constant texts, the whispered phone conversations, and a few very ‘not Cooper’ things in his apartment. Her name is Melissa and she works for an advertising firm as a graphic artist. We met up with her at Disneyland, and she joined us at Universal Studios yesterday and today she invited me to join her on a spa day. She got the cutest manicure, and I got a pedicure. She seems really sweet. Right now they’re on a date and I’m just sitting on the beach soaking up the last of my California sand, surf, and sun. A long travel day tomorrow with the time zone changes and all.
