26-year-old John Atkinson has been confirmed dead by family and friends. The pop fan, from Radcliffe, was reportedly leaving the venue when he was targeted by the attacker.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all the victims and families involved in the Manchester attack last night.

Manchester, UK is my hometown, and although I didn't attend the concert myself, I lot of my friends were at the concert at the time of the attack. I was heartbroken when I woke up to the news of what had happened less than 25 minutes away from me, walking out of my house this morning and seeing no one on the streets, and shocked at how a human being could be so cruel and malicious, killing and injuring those poor innocent people. All my condolences go out to the victims, their families, and of course Ariana and her team. A concert should be a safe place, somewhere where people aren't afraid to attend, that should be filled with pure love and happiness. Please remember the victims are not at fault, Ariana is not at fault, an entire religion is NOT at fault. The terrorist is at fault. Not even just as a country, all around the world we need to stay together and support each other as much as we can. I am deeply saddened by the tragic events of last night. If anyone needs to talk, I'm here. ❤️

Nell Jones, 14 -- she had recently been using crutches following a ligament injury. 

Alison Howe, 44 and friend Lisa Lees, 43 -- have not been seen since they left to pick up their children from the show. 

Wendy Fawell, 50 -- was waiting outside of the arena after dropping up her daughter, her daughter’ boyfriend and his brother. she has not been seen since the attack and her phone is ringing out.

Angelika and Marcin Kliss -- have not been seen since last night, marcin was wearing a red shirt and angelika was wearing a grey/white fur overcoat. 

Chloe Rutherford, 17 and Liam Curry, 19 -- there is still no news from the two of them

Martyn Hett, 29 -- was separated from his friend at the end of the show and was last seen talking to some girls right before the explosion

Laura MacIntyre and Eilidh MacLeod -- they travelled from the isle of barra to go to the show. there has been no contact between them and their families since the show. 

Courtney Boyle and  Philip Tron -- courtney’s mother and philip’s partner has not heard from them since the attack.

Olivia Campbell, 15 -- her friend she attended the concert with is being treated in hospital but there still has been no word from olivia. HER PHONE IS DEAD AND SHE HAS OFFICIALLY BEEN FILED AS A MISSING PERSON. she has long brown hair, worn in a pony tail, is around 5ft 7” and has her nose pierced and  was wearing glasses and had thigh high boots on with a heel.

this shit never happens y’all. it has never happened. that’s what terrifies me the most about everything that has happened the last 24 hours. there is so much uncertainty around our fandom and what ariana is going to be doing next. we weren’t taught how to deal with any of this in school, our tickets we buy to concerts don’t  come with the precautionary procedure you should follow if something this horrible happens. this has never happened before and it scares me to think about how everything is going to change and how we don’t know how it will change. this never fucking happens and we have never had to worry about these things happening but now we need to explain to our fucking KIDS why going and having fun in a seemingly safe and positive environment may turn into the worst nights of their life.
