Bandcamp Friday is around the corner yet again! 100% of profits paid for albums go to the artists this Friday, so consider checking out my friends' label DX Complex! There's something for everybody (but mostly if you're a fan of classic rock bands like ELO). And check out some other musicians while you're at it! Good fun all around.
Well, look at that! DX Complex's fifth album-in-a-weekend project, Archipelago , is now available anywhere you stream music (and you can buy the album straight from DXC's website, should you fancy).

I continue to be the luckiest guy alive and have gotten to make a whole handful of album covers for the lovely folks over at DX Complex - of the most recent of which is for their single, a cover of Strange Magic by The Electric Light Orchestra, and End of the Road by The Idle Race.
Each member brings something special to the project, whether it be for group covers or the quarterly Album in a Weekend projects, there's something to be loved for everyone. Give 'em a listen!

3. A fic or artwork you enjoyed -- So, so very much. I've been enjoying all of the art that came out of Pluto's sudden jump in popularity for sure - the ones that stick in my mind in particular are meloncolle's drawings of the cast, especially epsilon! I was also quite fond of the chibis they drew for the interest check graphs for Nothing Comes From Hatred, but I might be a little biased. lmao
12. A concept you'd like to develop next year - I have so many comic ideas to finish I don't know where to start! I recently came back around to an idea my friends and I have been fleshing out over the course of a couple years, Gooniverse, probably in no small part related to me picking up a new instrument, becoming more involved with my other friends' band, and some niche celebrity drama Meeti has heard me yap about for like two months now. Sorry Meeti.
20. Something that made you laugh - The way I could talk at length about my friend Max Hayward's comic Helgrave. I've gotten to read a lot of the sketch comics before they hit the archive on the site, and their affinity for snappy dialogue and episodic storytelling has made waiting for the dailies a cherished part of my day. Absolutely nobody is doing it like Max is!
29. Shout-out someone who inspires you - So many people to talk about but in particular I wanna shout-out the main cast of DX Complex/the members of The 21st Century Band. Particularly my friends The Ivory Heart, TOEM, and The Elusive Lizard who all consistently produce total bangers with a lot of heart. Leave it to me to think The New West has some of the ensemble's best work on it.
