i'm pleased to announce that carly has joined the district x team as a moderator! she'll be joining your admin (me, mars) with helping with administrative tasks behind the scenes such as keeping reserves updated, screening applications, updating pages, etc.

carly has already been getting involved (some of you have probably received messages from her via this blog already) and has been a huge help over the last week. she'll continue to assist in administrative tasks so we can dedicate more focus more toward world building through lore drops and events, which she'll also be assisting with as needed.

everyone please welcome carly to the district x team! she's written a personal intro below to kick things off:

hi everyone! 🥳 so excited to be your new mod! i'm carly, and you may also know me as jaeyong and jiho's mun. i have a lot of experience running and helping with rps under my belt, but i've been pretty separated from the administrative side of things for a couple years now. it's something i've missed a lot, so i'm happy to get back into it, especially because i really love rps outside of sol/idol universes! i'm glad i'll be able to help run district x and take some things off our admin's plate so we can stick around for a long time, too. i'll be doing pretty much anything admin mars asks of me like a good little lackey, so that includes everything from updating lists, to helping with graphics, to answering messages and writing events, depending on what's needed most! so if you have questions and/or get an im from the main, now you'll never really know who you're talking to 🫢 i'm looking forward to reading about everyone's muses as you bring them in and seeing where district x grows from here, so thank you for having me on the journey! 💓

hi everyone! it's been a minute since we've had a lore drop to expand the universe and we've had a lot of different ideas bouncing around. we'd like you to decide what we write up next!

hi everyone! just some quick notes on minor updates we've added to the district x main blog!

GUARDIAN AGE REQUIREMENTS

we've added age requirements/minimums to the guardian roles going forward. while we're not asking anyone to change their current muses, all new muses will have to adhere to these guidelines.

during our first month of acceptances, we realized that some of the relative ages of muses didn't make sense (like tier d guardians who were years older than tier a guardians) and there were a lot of questions about promotion timelines. so we added this information to hopefully keep this more consistent going forward!

again, we're not requiring any currently accepted muses to change anything. however, if you'd like to make adjustments to your muse(s) to fit the new guidelines, please let us know about any revamps or faceclaim changes so we can process everything accordingly.

BANNED POWERS LIST

to help prevent confusion when building muses, we've created a list of all abilities we currently do not allow to be roleplayed here. you can read the list here but it's also been added as a link on the rules page and powers page.

there's always a chance we overlooked something or don't think of a limitation until a specific situation arises, so we do reserve the right to add abilities to the banned list at any time. however, we'll be sure to communicate with any potential future applicants and our current members to try to minimize confusion!

everyone is now free to start posting their intros and plot calls on dash! once again, please be sure to follow all new members and reach out to one another with welcomes. we're so excited to kick off district x's return with all of you!

i also want to give a MASSIVE thank you to nico/nicole (@dxjinah) for stepping in as a temporary admin assistant tonight! they helped me get things organized behind the scenes and getting everything scheduled on time would not have been possible without their help.

as a reminder, our blog roll is public for easy following of all active members.

as of this post we are re-opening the inbox. reserves and submissions can now be sent again. we'll review the apps as they come in and accept them on a rolling basis.

: / / PRE-OPENING ANNOUNCEMENTS . . .

hi again everyone! as of this post, our inbox is now closed as we prepare for tonight's opening queue. we'll reopen it after the queue has completed and will announce when it's up and running again so you can send any applications or reserves that didn't get in for opening night. our ims will remain open for any questions but we will not be taking reserves through im!

as a reminder, the queue will start at 12:00 am est tonight. we're planning to have every accepted application posted within the hour and will make a post to let you know when the queue has completed.

just a few additional housekeeping expectations as we all prepare for opening night!

please do not post any intros or plot calls until after the queue has completed to keep the dash clear

you can use both tags on one post if it's a two in one situation

: / / GRAND OPENING ANNOUNCEMENT . . .

hi everyone! i'm so excited to announce that we've officially hit ten unique users submitting applications so we've reached our goal for grand opening!

since i need some time to review and prepare graphics for all of the apps so far (and all the apps i'm sure are coming in over the next couple of days), we're currently planning on running our grand opening queue at at 12:00am est on sunday, october 5th. we'll be closing the inbox at 6:00pm est on saturday, october 4th in order to give time to review and prepare everything so please be sure to submit your apps before then if you want to be part of our opening queue!

if you can't submit in time for the opening, no worries. we'll accept apps on a rolling basis afterwards so it won't be long before you get in too.

thank you all so much for your interest in district x!! i'm SO excited to officially kickstart the re-opening of district x on dash! in the meantime, i'll be slowly reaching out to everyone if i have any questions or concerns about the application. if you see "MESSAGED" next to your app, it means i'm still waiting on some sort of response from you!
