How dare Kano not be paying attention to her. How dare Kano just be sitting there on his phone while Neo was right here, wanting to spend some quality time with him? 

A low growl formed deep in her chest before she crawled across the floor to where he sat. 

“Kano.” She whispered, nudging his elbow with her forehead. “Kaaaaaanoooooo.” And when he didn’t immediately turn and focus his attention on her, she frowned. 

Neo crawled, and laid herself down on his lap. “Kano!”

“Most of the people in Yubari, actually! It’s hilarious how easily people believe in the lost, orphaned child sob story. Which, I guess is true, except for the lost part.”

“Would that not make me a fool? Hah! I don’t blame myself for most things I actually do, so why would I blame myself for something irrational?” In truth, he does blame himself for his little brother offering up his soul to a demon. 

☑: Is there something your muse would do again if given the chance, even though the consequences were highly negative the first time around?

Alois would never admit it, but yes. He would gladly form a contract with Claude all over again if given the chance, because he does love him and will always want to be with him. Regardless of whom his soul is actually tied to. The last time, Claude was the one who took advantage of his love and murdered him. Even if things were to go on exactly the same, Alois would probably accept that. 

✿: Is there someone in your muse’s life they would never trade for anything, no matter how difficult the person sometimes is?

Ciel. Claude. Again, he wouldn’t admit it outright.

‘Oh, there he is.’

Daiki is both surprised and relieved at how fast he had ended up finding his dog. He had feared that it will take him all day looking for the small pug, especially now that the sun is beginning to set. When his brother had informed him that the small critter had escaped the mansion, Daiki had remained calm although deep inside, he was already running in circles. But much to his surprise, his search only lasted for fifteen minutes before he caught sight of Daino looking very cozy on the pavement with a blond stranger seated by his side, petting his little head.

The college student wastes no time and lets his steps draw him close to the two. “Uh hi.” He raises his hand stiffly in awkward greeting. “That’s my dog there. So, uh, thanks for keeping him company. I should take him home now, if you don’t mind.”

It was times like these that he remembered why he had refused to keep living with Alois in the slums. Besides the lack of proper hygiene and the disturbing sounds and sighs that filled the place at all hours of the day and night; the collection of people that called his place home were hardly the type that Ciel wanted to associate himself with.

Despite that the tub here was a poor excuse for what he had back at the Phantomhive Estate, it was still a bath and the Earl had taken to enjoying his usual soak after having finally figured out how to run it  himself. With a too large robe falling off his shoulders, the boy made his way through the grungy apartment, heading for the bedroom to dress himself; though as he made his way through the liviing room the sound of the door opening caught his attention.

He frowned, Alois wasn’t due back for another few hours. Pausing he let one hand slide to clutch the robe a little tighter, as he waited... But the blond that came wandering into the room wasn’t Alois.

Throwing his hand up to cover the eye that was just on display the other pulled the robe even tighter, staring at the man who just wandered in unannounced.

“W-Who are you!? GET OUT!” He cried, his face burning red as he just jerked his head in the direction of the door. He didn’t care if this was some friend of Alois or not, he didn’t want them in the apartment with him so.... Bare!

As the tears sprung to her eyes, Neo turned from Kano. The last thing she wanted was for the boy to see her cry. She had spent all their time together building up this wall, this hard facade of power. Something that would levitate her above him. Yet, she found herself caring for him. Probably too deeply to be okay for her. She wouldn’t say it was love. Absolutely not. She did not love him. 

He just wiggled his way under her skin and made it so he was a part of her life. And she had to put an end to that. She couldn’t live her life like that. Kano didn’t deserve to deal with a monster like her - and she wasn’t about to change. 

“I don’t care what you hate.” She scoffed, voice cracking ever so slightly. “You should know that about me by now.” 

And with that, she turned and left him there.
