When Darcy looked up and saw which one of the doctors was checking the monitor near her bed today, she had to hold back a snort. A Close Call [Closed]

Kayla woke with a start to the sound of beeping machines and distant, muffled voices. Her eyes wide and darting around as she drew in a panicked breath. Everything was white--white was bad. Tape stuck stiffly to her arm, a needle inserted into her hand and elbow, and a monitor on her fingertip. Her stomach ached deeply around a wound and she remembered taking the bullet, how it hit her like a hammer and made her vision blur, but then nothing.

"Where--" she looked around frantically, and slowly, she quieted--though she didn't calm. Her heart rate was spiking fearfully, but she couldn't remember any pink or purple scrubs at the Weapon X facility, which meant she must be in a normal hospital. With a dry, raspy throat, Kayla licked her lips and sagged back into the bed. "--Hel-Hello?"

Clint grinned, leaning back in the wheelchair, smirking at the very bad pun the intern rolling him towards the exam room had made. "Yeah...But then I took an arrow to the knee." Whenever possible, joke about arrows and skyrim. For whatever reason, it made people laugh, and not be so damn nervous if they recognized who the hell he was.
