I can’t tell if you’re asking if I’m in mock trial or what mock trial is so I’m just gonna answer both
mock trial is this high school club where you pretend to be part of a fake trial. Every team in the country gets a situation where a crime is committed and everyone in the team gets a role such as a witness or attorney. There’s a bunch of witness statements and if you’re a witness you basically have to memorize your statement and answer questions as if you were that person (so it’s all acting) while your attorney asks questions they came up with. It’s really fun and it’s a national competition. You actually get to go to a real courthouse with a judge (who’s usually just an actual attorney acting as a judge) and you get scored for your performance
I’ve now been a part of it for two years. Last year I was a witness because I like acting and this year I’m the bailiff because I wanted a small role (I was committed to the plays I was in and I didn't want to stretch myself too thin)
