     “ PACHI -- “

     The sound of a shrill, girlish voice carried across the busy street, managing to rise above the usual din of such a busy, populated area. A general ruckus appeared to be occurring from near the corner, where a vendor had previously been rather innocently attempting to peddle whatever it was they sold.

     Within moments, a Pachirisu was bolting down the road as quickly as its tiny paws could carry it ( which, unfortunately, was quite fast ). His cheeks were unusually puffed, giving him the appearance of having something in his mouth. Through a throng of people, a girl with blue hair could be seen in hot pursuit; behind her, much slower, waddled a Piplup that looked far from pleased with the unexpected exercise.

     “ Pachirisu, get BACK here with that! ”

     The Pokémon in question made no indication that he planned on listening to his trainer. He did, however, stop his mad dash long enough to lift his tail and give it a taunting wag in Dawn’s direction. Visibly frustrated, she made a desperate lunge after him -- and then he was off again, and instead of nabbing her unruly rodent, Dawn found herself colliding with a perfectly innocent bystander while Piplup waddled along after his teammate.
