Welcome to the Cohort of 2016!
We will be designing, play testing and presenting Augmented Realty experiences...
An Augmented Reality (AR) project creates a unique experience that blurs the edges between our everyday lives and imagined worlds.
Participants are invited to interact with each other and fictional characters in an intersection of real and virtual space and time.
AR comes in all shapes and sizes, tell a variety of different stories and inspire all kinds of interactions between people, their networks and sometimes the very streets in which they live. Some simply immerse you in complex fictional scenarios while others indulge you in quirky physical challenges. Some extend broadcast experiences, reveal hidden histories, promote a brand, and some remind us about important social and political causes.
An ARG is an excuse for people from various disciplines to learn about the tools and services available for adoption without the difficulty of overcoming technological In the case of this project, you will design, produce and integrate multiple visual elements and interfaces for playful, thoughtful and communal user interaction.
Using the theoretical and practical concepts and techniques presented in this unit, you will learn how to motivate, engage, persuade, entertain, provoke and subvert people, ideas and places for multiple purposes and contexts.
These frameworks, techniques and processes can be re-applied to create innovative advertising campaigns, media promotions, game designs, business networking events, innovative film and TV production and distribution, artistic expression and exhibition…etc.
