i don’t think i’ll ever get over you
u know, we really put ourselves in a super negative light; today one of my friends told me that my ability to adapt to change is one of the things she really likes about me.
here’s the thing: i’ve been thinking that my tendency to change my situation all the time was one of my worst qualities; it’s been the reason i’ve quit jobs after only a few months, ended relationships for no reason, even moved cities.
but her saying that made me think of it in a different light: sure, i’ve been making my own change in my life for a long time, but it means that when a big change happens unexpectedly (i lose a job, get broken up with, am forced to change my living situation), i adapt quickly
the TLDR of this is, try to see your weaknesses as your strengths once in a while, they’ll come in handy
feminist issue i’m mad about today:
my parents hosted a dinner party tonight and i got talking to some of the guests about general things, like my job etc. eventually i got asked how many children i wanted to have and how soon i wanted to settle down. I’M MAD BECAUSE my brother was talking to people too, about his job as well, and I GUARANTEE he was never asked how many children he wanted to have and when he wanted to settle down
oh no
i had such a good feeling about this year and i have such a bad feeling about next year
hello tumblr I’m mad at the world and idk why
overthinking is destroying me
if your boyfriend isn’t a feminist he shouldn’t be your boyfriend
