Sohee snickered with the satisfied grin, even as a friend she wanted to be a favorite one. “I’m still the best best friend? Second after the music?”

"This might be a little bit embarrassing to share but I’ve been a big fan of you since you debuted. I really like your music and it was really nice to see you work with Taeyeon sunbae-nim. I heard that you’re also a songwriter, right? Maybe one day you can make something for AOA,” she said, her smile wide and honest. A few seconds passed before she found herself cupping her cheeks, feeling them hot and red as her embarrassment grew. “I’m sorry, where are my manners? I’m Seolhyun. It’s nice to meet you.”

       Dean. She knew him even before he became famous and she could still remember the past days when her eyes were lighting up the moment he was walking into the room. Sohee has always had the flirty manner but her attention was all devoted to one man and it was him, the young talented songwriter and a producer. Even then she already knew that he would be big some day and have his talent recognized by the bigger audience. He was already been recognized in the music industries for he had produced the songs for many well-known bands. Successful, focused and talented, he didn’t need to do much to make her heart flutter, however she wasn’t able to do the same with his. 

Dean did care about her in a friendly way, treating her like a little sister even though she wasn’t that much younger than him. It was annoying to her since she wanted to be seen as a woman and no matter how much she tried, all her attempts were failing. He was openly telling her that he wasn’t interested in the relationships and that she should have found herself a nice guy to take care of her. Stubborn as she was, Sohee wanted only him but her patience wasn’t limitless and one day she decided to let go of her feelings for Dean and move on. She started going to the clubs more and having fun with other guys now and then but it wasn’t anything serious until recently. Once of those men was able to catch her eye, make her interest in him linger. Sohee didn’t want to repeat the story but before she knew she was already thinking about that other guy more than she wished for it. 

Yet again, her feelings were unrequited but she didn’t want to give up and it was messing up her mood. Her and Dean stayed friends, close friends and they were often hanging out without any romantic feelings attached. However, when the other guy showed up in her life, the songwriter seemed to be a little bothered. 

“Why are you even asking about him? Didn’t i tell you it’s nothing serious. I mean i like him but yeah..” 

She mumbled and sighed as she actually wished for it to be different. Sohee’s mood was effected and she nonchalantly played with the milk shake foam, poking her straw in and out of it. She was happy to be invited out to see Dean but she was not as lively as usually.
