It’s weird to think that I’m someone’s match out there. Like that I’m someone’s dream guy. Someone out there is looking for someone just like me, or at least the someone that I’m becoming. There’s probably even a few people out there looking for someone like me, and that’s weird to think about.
Like, I’m always day dreaming about who I will be able to call my lovely wife some day. Someone I can call my partner and best friend. Someone that will help me grow into a better person, with a stronger faith, and more and more love in me. It won’t be easy I’m sure, we’ll fight and have dumb arguments that seem silly after the hard feelings are past. Someone I will learn to love like never before, someone that will help me see things I will never be able to see on my own.
We probably haven’t met yet though. I have no idea who she is, what she’s up to, where’s she’s living, or how she’s doing. I hope she’s doing well, honestly. I hope she’s keeping her chin up, I hope that she’s fighting the good fight. I hope that all her scars aren’t keeping her down, and that she’ll remember all those stories to tell me when we’re chatting side by side near a fireplace, sipping on warm drinks. I hope we’ll be able to discuss everything. From whether or not we like the new style in Taylor Swift’s music, to the synoptic problem of the authorship of the Gospels, whether we believe in the Q source inspiring the different Gospels, and how boring the genealogy in the early books really is. How we can love others more, better ways to volunteer and help out everyone in the world, regardless of our differences.
So yeah, I like to daydream. But I also realizes there’s probably some girls out there day dreaming about me. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think I’m great. I don’t think I’m good. I’m just a normal dude trying his best, who’s been saved by amazing grace. I got plenty of faults to go around, I struggle with a lot of things (Currently failing some art classes...) and I got my scars. But I know I also have some good points in me thankfully. I always want to do better, I’m kinda funny, and I think I look pretty cute in a santa hat. I hear I can write some pretty cute stuff, and I love gushing about cute things. Just the little stuff. =P
I also realize there are 7 billion people on our planet. Each one unique with unique dreams and tastes. I think that everyone can be someone’s dream person. No one is so uniquely horrible that no one could love them. That’s absurd. Even the worst people in history have found love in their life. Sometimes it’s true we go without love, either we were too late, never met them, we didn’t let ourselves fall in love, or maybe just aren’t seeking it. But I refuse to believe that anyone is incapable of finding love out there. Just because we may not find it doesn’t mean someone wasn’t looking for you. To think that I’m so uniquely unable to find love would be such an arrogant and close minded thing to think, that sometimes I need to take a step back and remind myself that she’s out there waiting for me.
I hope we find each other someday, because boy do I have a lot of stories to tell her. =P
