I toy with the idea of having another cup of coffee and making him wait, but that’s a game I’d probably lose; never try the patience of someone whose family tree includes marble and granite.

“I’m a vampire. Not a demon, not a creature of pure evil, not a figment of some writer’s imagination. I drink blood, I’m extremely allergic to sunlight, I’m effectively immortal. I’m a supernatural creature, not a natural one, and if you’re going to survive here, you’re going to have to learn how to deal with beings like me—because I’m far from the only one.”

Truth is a nasty drug, Jace. Might seem like what you want, until you've swallowed it. By then it's too late- you can't unlearn it. Ignorance is a lot less painful.

In a way, it's the very essence of being human. Knowing they're going to die one day, and fighting for the only real power they have- the power of choice.

You can't do that kind of thing normally, but normal dumped without a note nearly a month ago. These days, I'll happily set fire to a bridge the second after I've crossed it - I don't plan on being around for the consequences to catch up with me.

Current Read
I have finished Dying Bites by D D Barant. I really liked it. I thought it was a cool idea having a character go to another earth just like ours but with supernatural creatures that rule it. I liked when Elder Gods showed up. I am now reading Night In The Lonesome October by Richard Laymon. I know nothing about it besides someone telling me I should read it.
I've got a bad case of the 3:00 am guilts - you know, when you lie in bed awake and replay all those things you didn't do right? Because, as we all know, nothing solves insomnia like a nice warm glass of regret, depression and self-loathing.
