Something about the gender+sexuality specific dni (especially for nonromantic and nonsexual posts) is really isolating even among the few who's requirements I fit into. It reinforces my assumption that the only people who want to interact with me are the ones who want to fuck me.

Being unavailable to them gets the same reaction as not being the gender they're attracted to. It makes sense now, I think we're just at a point where the relationships we value are romantic and sexual, even when queer sex and relationships are downplayed and stigmatized. If there was an age when people laughed off a misunderstanding like confusing twinks for butches it's passed because that feeling of solidarity is replaced with dry frustration.
