My Sims 4 Generations ( so far) 

Hi everyone! After a long while of playing with these amazing Sims, I decided to make a post showcasing the generations that I’ve got so far! So, click “Keep Reading” to read more! 

This is the first generation of the three main families in my game. From left to right they are: Dylan and his wife Aurora - the Hustons, Isabelle & Daniel Mabel and Aurora’s half-sister Hope with her husband, Tyler Mint - a famous singer. We can also see two of the first generation pets - one is Zoey the cat (based off of my own real-life cat with the same name) and Cookie, Tyler’s faithful dog. 

These are the members of the second generation of the same three families aka their kids. From left to right we go again: Adrien & Crystal Huston (their mom and dad are Aurora and Dylan) who are twins, then we have the first-born of the Mabels, Toby, right after him is the eldest female of the family, Jade, then follows the middle child Loreen and the youngest two are Emily and Liam. The remaining two are the children from the Mint family - Kai is their firstborn and Lara joined in shortly after!

And last but not least - this is the current new generation. The first two are children of Crystal who’s now Mrs.Huston-Mabel and her husband Toby Mabel. They are twins and their names are (left to right) Ariel and Marie. You can see how much Ariel looks like her grandma Aurora no? Then, we have the other pair of twins next to our blond beauties - Harry and Kali Mabel-Huston. They are children of Crystal’s brother Adrien and the second born of the Mabels - Jade. The third lady we have is the first born of the Mabel-Mint family. She’s the daughter of Kai Mint and Loreen Mabel-Mint and her name’s Sky. The little blonde girl below in the second row is her little sister Jenna. The first lady of the same second row is the surprise child of Aurora and Dylan - Rosella. She came to them in their adulthood and well...she turned into quite the pretty thing! The last child of the second row is Liam Mabel & Lara Mint-Mabel’s son Orion. Orion and Jenna as you can see are the only ones still children, while the rest are now teens. 

This is my three-generation-long legacy thus far. I hope you liked them, and expect much more from them in future posts!

The double surprise for the Hustons

It’s been a few weeks after the wedding, and Aurora still had that sick feeling in her stomach. One day she was so pale that she could barely walk straight. Dylan got scared and begged her to go see a doctor. 

She agreed. The doctor, after a series of exams, deducted that it’s a cold she’s been dealing with. She went back home and went straight to bed. The next day, she felt a little better so she decided to pay Hope a visit. 

“He said it was a cold?” 

Hope felt something was off. Aurora seemed way better though, so she didn’t continue talking on that subject. However, just as she was about to send Aurora on her way back to the city, right when she walked out the door she screamed. 

“Are you okay? What happened?!” 

Hope held her with one hand and tried getting hair out of her face with the other.

“My stomach...it’s like my insides are being torn apart!”

Hope didn’t have much time to react, the first thing she though of was grabbing her phone and calling a cab. The cab came two minutes later, and the two got up from the sidewalk and got inside. In no time, they reached the hospital where Aurora was rushed in for an emergency examination of the lower abdomen. After a while, a nurse named Ella walked out of the examination room. She seemed pretty cheerful. 

“Is my sister going to be okay?” 

Hope was terrified. She didn’t know what kind of news to expect. 

“She’s going to be just fine, she’s been overdoing it with the workouts I bet. In her condition, she should avoid her gym.” 

Hope was confused. 

“Her condition? What...are...you...?”

Ella giggled. 

“You’re gonna be an auntie soon girl, cheer up your sister’s gonna be a mom!” 

Hope nearly fell over. 

“Okay, now I’m going to need to take your pressure. Hold up...” 

Ella measured her pressure and it was a bit lower but that was only from excitement. After a few minutes, when Hope and her blood pressure stabilized she was allowed to see her sister who was resting in one of the patient rooms. She was given some fluids before she could be released. 

“Hey...auntie...” 

A half-asleep Aurora mumbled out, with a smile breaking out all over her face. 

“You’re gonna be a mom...Congratulations honey...wait, does Dylan know?” 

Aurora’s face changed from happy to shocked. 

“Oh my God! Get my phone, I completely forgot to tell him...the poor guy must be freaking out by now!” 

Aurora called him and explained everything. He just started to sob from the other side in disbelief. 

It was gonna be weird few months until the delivery, but nothing like family to tough it all out right? 

After a few months...delivery time? 

So, a few months went by quite fast. Aurora’s due date was approaching and she was becoming more and more anxious to meet her new bundle of joy. Her sister had been helping the happy parents to be with cradle selection. She promised them that it’d fit the apartment’s decor and especially their bedroom’s decor and that it’d be neutral so it’d fit any gender. 

Even though she was near the end of her pregnancy, Aurora still wanted to go to the gym. She knew one person who was obsessed with regaining her long-lost figure and that person happened to be her best friend Isabelle. 

“Are you nuts? Do you wanna know what happened to me when I tried running with a belly that big? Of course not, so stay the hell away from the gym until about three weeks after the delivery. Also, I can pop by in your neighborhood after my workout if you want...I know how you love that food stand downstairs...” 

Aurora started to laugh. 

“Sure, alright. I’ll listen to you Isa...see ya soon!”

Isabelle was done after an hour and the two met at the food stand in the pedestrian area across from Aurora’s building. They had Aurora’s favorite dish and talked about all kinds of baby-related things - mostly about the name.

“I am not letting you name my baby Elfin.” 

Aurora said, nudging Isa playfully on her shoulder. 

“I think that’s a very nice name though....alright fine if it’s a boy how about...Edwin?” 

Aurora laughed even harder. 

“I’ll consider it....I thought perhaps Adrien for a boy?” 

Isa gave her a thumb up. 

“So, when’s your due date anyways?” 

Aurora opened up her calendar on her phone. On one of the check-ups at the doctor’s office she marked the date on her electronic calendar. 

“O....it’s ...uh...tomorrow?” 

Isabelle spat out her drink. 

“What?! And you with your sane ... no wait... INsane mind are out here with me?!” 

Aurora started laughing again. 

“I’m fine, the baby is fine in there, no kicking, so we’re all good.” 

After a while longer the two went home. Isa made sure Aurora got to her flat safely first, before going to catch her ride to Brindleton Bay. 

In the middle of the night, a hard kick woke Aurora up. She felt like the baby was going to rip her stomach apart. She went to the bathroom and used the toilet and after that she decided to walk the pain off around the flat. 

After the pain simmered down she decided to go look around the wide web for pregnancy and delivery time tips. 

Just then, as she sat down an enormous kick in the stomach made her scream in pain. After that she felt that she was being soaked and ran to Dylan to wake him up. 

“Get the bag, it’s time! Now!” 

Dylan was barely awake but when he heard the last part of the sentence he just ran across the room, grabbed the bag and half-dressed helped his wife to the elevator. The huge pain hadn’t started yet but she wasn’t completely pain-free. In the taxi she could barely breathe. 

“Relax, please...You’ll get through this...I know you will..” 

He took her hand and pecked it. That didn’t exactly help reduce the pain, but it boosted her confidence up a little bit. 

Finally after half an hour they arrived at the hospital. Ella, the doctor who helped Aurora before was there. 

“O, delivery day?” 

Dylan just nodded yes.

“Right this way then, I’ll get you checked in later. This is a ticking bomb that cannot wait.” 

Ella took Aurora in a delivery room, while Dylan was freaking out in the hallway, because in all the action he missed the part where Aurora was taken to a room and actually didn’t see which room she was taken into so he couldn’t follow.

Inisde the delivery room it was just Ella and Aurora. 

“Weren’t you a nurse?” 

Aurora asked, between screams. 

“I was...I am, but we’re short on staff and my area is deliveries so...” 

Aurora just nodded and pressed her head onto the bed. 

“O, it’s almost out.....” 

A cry was heard. A baby’s cry.

“Is it...” 

Aurora could barely speak. She was still in pain. 

“Yes, congratulations, you’re a proud mom of a baby girl!” 

Aurora just smiled briefly and then a new wave of pain came. She had no idea why she felt like something else was coming out of her as well. 

“Ella, is everything...” 

Ella stared at the screen pale as a mop. 

“We might have an issue...” 

Aurora got scared. She thought something went wrong, and that either her or her baby wouldn’t make it and she started to tremble. 

“What’s...what’s the matter?” 

Ella’s face lit up. She just let a slight sigh and smiled. 

“Well, prepare to welcome your second child......” 

Just then a huge nudge made Aurora scream and another cry was heard. Another baby had arrived. 

“What?!” 

Aurora raised her head. She saw Ella put another baby in a baby bed. 

“Say hi to your son...” 

She rolled the bed towards Aurora. Then she rolled the little girl to her as well. After making sure all was well she instructed another nurse to take them all in a recovery room while she went to notify the father. 

“Oh thank goodness! How is she?” 

Ella took him towards the rooms. She opened up one of the doors and led him in. 

“You mean how are they...right?” 

She showed him Aurora holding two babies in her hands. 

“Twins?!” 

His voiced pitched up. Aurora just burst in laughs. 

“Hey you signed up for the role of the father, no take-backs!” 

He just sat next to her and kissed all three of them. 

“You’re my family, my everything...I’ll never step out on you...”

Ella teared up, as she peeked from a crack in the door. She then left the happy family to rest up together. The following day, they were all given green lights and clean bill of health papers and were allowed to go home. 

The first moment they went in, they saw Hope inside with two cradles. 

“I didn’t know which to take so I took bo- “ 

She stopped talking when she saw them walk in with two babies. 

“On second thought, good thing I did.” 

And so, Dylan and Aurora are now a mom and a dad. Let’s see how they handle these roles - and yes Isabelle named the girl Crystal as their official godmother while Aurora stuck with Adrien for her son.

The Big Day

Finally the day had come. Dylan was in the apartment getting ready, while Aurora had gone to her old house to get ready and put on her wedding dress. It didn’t take long and pretty soon everyone started gathering at Myshuno Meadows - the central park of San Myshuno which happens to have a place for weddings. 

The moment the two arrived they couldn’t stop staring at each other. Dylan’s mouth dropped to the ground. 

“You - I....How....” 

He started stuttering while Aurora was giggling to his cuteness. 

“Surprise?” 

She just smiled and pecked his cheek. He just gave her a very tight hug. 

After that, they went into the restaurant where they waited for everyone invited to show up before the ceremony was to begin. 

While waiting there, Dylan took this picture of Aurora while she walking towards a table to take a seat. 

Pretty soon everyone invited gathered. The time had come for the two to get married officially. They went one after the other outside the restaurant towards the wedding arch. The guests followed closely behind. 

( excuse the fact that this image is taken at night, it was actually taken after the wedding but yea xD ) 

They were now at the arch. The piano player announced the arrival of the bride, and Dylan was already in position to await her arrival to the arch. Everyone was on their feet as she took her place across from him. He took both her hands and was near tearing up,

“I can’t believe we’re doing this...” 

She was redder than an apple, because neither could she. She felt overjoyed but again very nauseous and she had no idea why. 

“Dearly beloved...” 

A voice could be heard. The priest was at the side, as to not get in the way of the two and had started citing the famous wedding ceremony speech. 

The two had their eyes on each other the whole time, it was as If they were there completely alone, like time had stopped for everyone but them. 

The priest had finished the first part of his speech. He approached the two. 

“Alright, now it’s your turn. Exchange the rings and your vows to one another.” 

Dylan became nervous. He’d been up the previous night just to figure something out for this exact moment but it was useless because he couldn’t come up with a single thing. Aurora had the same problem. Nevertheless, Aurora took her turn first. 

“I...In all honesty I didn’t prepare for this moment even though I tried but..when I think about it I don’t even need to. I’ve been running from this my whole life because I feared....I feared a heartbreak, I feared defeat. But... with you, there is never fear, never a reason to think twice for things...I know what my heart is telling me to do right now is right, so Dylan Huston, I here by take you to be my husband for better or for worse, in sickness or in health until death brings us apart....”

Dylan’s eyes were full of tears. He accepted the ring, and took out the one for her next. 

“Auri....I....I’m going to be honest here, I as well had no luck in writing out a speech but when I look into those bluish-greenish eyes of yours and that little smile that’s breaking out all over your face I know I never needed one to begin with. All I have to say, will never be enough to show how I feel. I know you’ve been running away and I know we’ve been chasing each other for a while but we finally caught each other and .... Now that we have, I don’t wanna let go...So, Aurora Olsen I here by take you as my wife, to love and to protect in good and bad, in sickness and in health until death brings us apart...” 

The guests started crying by this point as well, as with any wedding. Aurora’s makeup was beginning to get ruined, but she couldn’t care less. The priest approached again. 

“Lovely, now .... by the power give to me by the Lord above and the city council of San Myshuno down here...I pronounce you husband and wife. Everyone, greet Mr. and Mrs. Huston! Oh, and of course - you may kiss your bride now son.” 

Everyone started applauding. The two kissed and then they started walking back to the restaurant with the guests, where the cook had prepared snacks. On the way back through the aisle, Aurora tipped the piano player for a job well-done. 

Back at the restaurant, the two saw the wedding cake had arrived as well. Aurora took a piece out while everyone else was in the kitchen going through the servings of food. She approached Dylan who was also there, and offered him the first bite - they shared it together in front of everyone which left awes all around. 

By the end of the wedding everyone had a slice of the cake and a piece of every main course meal prepared. Hope and Isabelle congratulated the two and accepted their wedding bracelets that signified that they had roles in their life - those of a maid of honor and godmother. 

After a long fun night and morning hours , people slowly started to leave. Aurora and Dylan had stayed alone and they too decided to go home. On their way out they took a selfie to remember the day by, along with the rest of the pictures that were taken by them and of them.

Now, on to new adventures as Mr. and Mrs.Huston!

“The Diving Pelican” Date 

Aurora and Dylan had returned from their holiday together and a few days had passed since. Dylan couldn’t stop thinking of her, so he decided to call her over. He rang three times, no answer. He started to think she was avoiding him, and when he looked at things the way she would, he realized he might’ve seemed too pushy in her eyes. 

However, a few minutes after the third attempt, the phone rang and it was her. She apologized and told him she was outside trying to catch her cat. Apparently she was being stubborn as usual and didn’t wanna come inside, and it was getting dark so Aurora got scared she might get lost.

Dylan just giggled, relieved that he wasn’t getting avoided and asked her to come over. 

Pretty soon she was there and they decided instead of spending such a beautiful night in Willow Creek indoors, to go outside. Dylan suggested going to dinner, something Aurora wasn’t really prepared for but since they sort of already had a date like that she just accepted, no matter what’d happen. 

They went to “The Diving Pelican”, and got a table for two. A very romantic one. 

Dylan was unable to get his eyes off of her, shining bright under the lantern lights, fireflies floating around her as she blinked shyly and twirled a strain of her hair around. He was going through a volcanic eruption inside. 

Pretty soon they got their hands on a menu and started going through it. They noticed notes on some of the drinks and meals which were marked as meals and drinks that were “the chef’s choice”. They chose the chef choice wine and main course. ( excuse the fact that the image above and below are taken at different times of day - thank you.). 

While waiting for their orders, the two started chatting. They’ve been together for a while and yet there were so many things that they didn’t know about each other like favorite colors, foods, animals and zodiac signs. 

But, since both of them are jokers, the conversation quickly shifted to inside jokes and jokes about ducks. In no time at all the dinner arrived. 

They each took a bite of the food.

“Why are you laughing?” 

Dylan suddenly spoke up, after nearly an entire date of silence or awkward laughter and jokes. 

“Taste the food, you’ll see...” 

Dylan rolled his eyes, and took a better bite. His eyes teared up. 

“Okay, why didn’t the ingredients table mention lava spice?”

Aurora burst into laughs. They both took a sip of their wines to cool off their mouths. Despite the lava hot spice, they ate the entire meals and Aurora even sent compliments to the chef - at least the wine was good. 

After they finished eating, a weird girl came up to their table and started to randomly talk to them. She was eating right next to Aurora. They introduced themselves in a friendly manner, but wanted alone time because after all, a date is meant for two right? 

So, the moment the weird lady moved away for a bit, Dylan took Aurora’s hand and got up with her. 

“What are you doing?” 

Aurora stopped, taking her hand back. 

“You seriously want her to continue her banter? Isn’t this supposed to be an ‘us’ night?”

Dylan asked with a smirk. Aurora just nodded in agreement and they both sneaked out through the bushy flowers and went to the riverside across from the restaurant. 

They sat down on a bench, and stared at the fish jumping out from the river. It wasn’t as dark anymore, it was the early morning hours. They spent an hour giggling for all kinds of things, nudging each other when whispering dirty jokes to one another and just generally having a blast.

“Next time, forget the restaurant -we’re ordering a big box of pizza and we’re gonna have it right here.” 

Aurora shook her head and smiled. She just scooted closer to Dylan on the bench. 

She stared at him staring at the fish in the river. She was still trying to wrap her head around the fact that they’re now officially an item and that her loner days have ended. She kept asking herself what’d be next for them, what after all this - where will all this lead them to. 

For the moment, she knew the only place this situation was leading them to was a sleepless night and an early sleepless morning on a bench, like two homeless people.

Before they knew it, the Sun was up and nature was waking up. Aurora stood up from the bench, leaned back and kissed his cheek and thanked him for the beautiful and fun night. She told him the next date was on her and that she’d plan it - with no restaurants involved. 

After that, she just started to slowly walk home. Her house is right across from the restaurant so she was in no hurry. Dylan was staring at her walking away. He got up and for a second froze, but then spoke up. 

“Aurora?” 

She stopped from the distance and turned around. 

“Yeah?” 

She yelled back. 

“I...”  She smiled and nodded at his attempt to say something , because she knew exactly what he wanted to say. 

“I know, I do too.” 

She waved bye to him, and left him alone in the middle of the walking path with his heart about to throw itself out of his chest and into the river next to him. 

He and she are both head over heels in love with each other. That, we can all be certain of.

Aurora’s Vacation Attempt #2

Aurora hadn’t gone to another vacation, not after the fiasco her last one turned into. She and her sister Hope went to Selvadorada with their pets, but when they got there all hell broke loose on them. Their pets got sick, Aurora got poisoned but found an antidote and saved herself, she got stung, set on fire and all other nonsense went by them until the last straw was Kia’s illness - Hope couldn’t bare losing her so they went straight to Newcrest and a vet clinic and with that cut their vacation short. 

However, Aurora changed her mind about trying a vacation again. She met a guy called Dylan who was silly and adorable at the same time, and he won her heart only he had no idea he did. When he saw her for the first time ever, walking down his street he nearly fell in the trash bin in front of his house. Even his dog Obi couldn’t stop staring. 

And so, after a lot of hanging out together, the vacation happened. She asked Dylan if he and his dog would like to come with, and of course they agreed. 

They rented a house near the trail that leads to the supposedly unreachable temple but for them it wasn’t so unreachable. Aurora changed into explorer gear, braided her hair in two braids and took Dylan’s hand and dragged both him and Obi to the first arch near the campsite. 

At first, Dylan was scared, but Aurora reassured him it would all be fine and she used a machete she had from her previous trip there to cut through the vines. She knew what she was doing, because she’d already started exploring this path and now she intended to finish what she’d started. 

Pretty soon they found themselves on the other side of the arch. It was amazing, and the small waterfall made sparks fly. 

Aurora soon realized that they’ve taken another route to where the temple was. They weren’t at the big bridge she was on earlier, but rather behind some sort of wall ruin that seemed to be a part of the temple. Nonetheless, she continued onwards, but not before taking a selfie both alone and with Dylan as keepsakes. 

After that, they were about to go onward when Aurora tripped over a tiny stone on the ground.

Dylan caught her and she readjusted her glasses only to see his deep blue-eyed stare and an attempt to hide that he was laughing. She just messed up his hair as a response and laughed herself. She felt an urge to show her affection and so, she caught him off guard with a kiss - the very first kiss.

He was shocked, but kissed her back and enjoyed it. They went onwards with their adventure, that lead them to the temple. At this point Aurora was annoyed because Dylan was pretty useless and all he did was touch things and splash in the maze-shaped water within the temple. But, she still liked him - a dork at heart who shares the same love for games and jokes and pets with her. This kind of made her unable to stay angry at him for longer than 10 minutes. 

At the end of the day, they gave up going through the temple, and left some of the exploring for another time. They went back to the house they were renting, when it was completely dark outside already and when they walked in, Aurora just gave Dylan a hug. He asked her what he did to deserve it, and she just whispered in his ear while hugging him that she’s thankful to have him with her, even though most of the time he caused trouble. 

He just smiled, and she felt a breeze on her neck coming from him. Obi was wagging his tail next to them, happy that his best paw friend found someone from his own kind to share adventures with. 

For a while they were each at different ends of the house, until dinner time came. They both ate and then Aurora followed Dylan in his room. She sat on the computer there, while he sat down on his bed to take off his socks. She saw him and left the computer and sat down next to him. He stretched his arm and wrapped it around her waist, but quickly drew it back after he noticed her smirk. She just bumped her shoulder into his as a sign of approval of what he did and they just sat like that and talked about the day until the conversation turned into dirty jokes and funny stories. 

All in all, the vacation didn’t turn out as bad as Aurora feared it would be. Let’s hope it remains like this till the end of it!

The End ( of part 1 )

They grow so fast...and it’s their first camping trip already!

Aurora and Dylan’s twins were growing up fast and the little flat in the city wasn’t big enough for everyone anymore. So, daddy got busy and found them a perfect new house in Brindleton Bay - right where Aurora always wanted to live. It also happens to be the town they first met in. 

After settling down, they started to redecorate. Adrien and Crystal fell in love with the place immediately but they didn’t care much as long as they weren’t kept apart.

While mom and dad were busy redecorating, these two were busy playing with each other and with the pets. It was a hectic first week, but the family pulled through and had lots of fun while doing so. 

The following week, daddy Dylan had an idea, one he shared with Aurora.

“A camping trip? Are you sure?” 

Dylan grinned. 

“My first camping trip with my dad was when I was three. The twins are one year olds, but I think I can manage..” 

Aurora pecked his cheek. 

“You’re wonderful you know that? Fine, you can go but please be careful.” 

And so, he arranged for the following weekend to take the little ones out in Granite Falls for a camping trip. He booked a camping site for three days and packed everything they’d need including camping gear such as tents, light and chairs. 

“Alright, you two listen to your father and be good. See you in three days!” 

Aurora sent her camp troops off to the woods and all she was left with was taking care of an empty new home. 

Just before they left though, Obi - Dylan’s German Sheppard started dragging his pant sleeve back. 

“Obi....alright fine, you’re coming too. We can use a watchdog.” 

Obi hopped into the cab between the twins, happily wagging his tail. 

In no time they reached the bus station and from there they hopped onto a bus and went straight to Granite Falls. 

There, they set up camp and the little ones immediately started to touch everything and just generally enjoy being there. 

And, of course a lot of twin hugs happened as well. Night came pretty soon and daddy Dylan had one job - tell scary stories to the twins because Aurora wasn’t around to scold him for it. 

He had a very hard time keeping them both in one place long enough to finish a sentence, so in the end he just left the fire to burn and let the two goof off in the tent with the flashlights.

After they got tired, one stayed into the tent to nap and the other twin - Crystal - came back out and started playing a game on her dad’s tablet. After a while, Adrien decided to join his little sister and they both just sat there in the almost complete  dark giggling their little cheeks out. 

The following day, Dylan took them to a fishing spot a bit further from their campsite. He thought that it’d be a good idea to take the twins for a walk. Turns out, the idea wasn’t so great. After they got there, Dylan only had Adrien nearby. He started to look for Crystal and he heard a little cry coming from somewhere close. He found her, she was nearing the fishing site but she was crying because she was tired and scared because she thought she’d lost herself in the woods. 

Later though, he had both present and accounted for at all times. 

While Adrien was splashing around and throwing pebbles in the water, Dylan took Crystal in his arms and started spinning her around - she loved that ever since she was born. 

“You like this? Wait till you see what else I have in store haha!” 

He turned round and round with her, and everyone stared at them, at how happy they were to be with each other. 

“I love dada!” 

She screamed. Dylan’s face lit up.

“You called me dada...I love you too ya little monkey!” 

He started to laugh and twist and turn her around even more. 

Pretty soon time came for them to return to the camp and to Obi who Dylan left to guard the tents and all the stuff. 

He was fine, napping when the three returned. The kids were exhausted but happy and they spent most of the night playing on the chairs around the fire pit. 

Then, Dylan decided to try his luck at the horseshoe throwing pit which was set up near their tents. The twins got up and made their way over to the cooler Dylan had brought with and started to discuss plans on how to sneak some frozen strawberry yogurt out of there without being caught. They did get caught in the end but, they were also granted permission to get the yogurt. 

On the third day, sadly they had to end their camping early because Obi had gotten sick by a squirrel bite. When they returned home early, Aurora immediately rushed to check the children. 

“Relax, it’s not them it’s Obi - I’m about to take him to the vet clinic now.” 

Aurora just sighed in relief. 

“I thought something happened - when you walked in so early I almost had a heart attack. I’ll go check what they’re doing then.”

She found Adrien trying to sleep and when she took a peak into Crystal’s room she saw her playing Blickblock on her toddler tablet. 

“Yep, the twins are good. Alrighty...” 

She slowly backed away from the door and left it a bit opened up so she could hear if something comes up. 

After a while, Crystal noticed her dad and Obi weren’t there. She started to worry and just as she entered her brother’s room to check if any of them were there, Obi almost ran her over trying to get in. 

“Obi, you came!” 

She giggled as he was licking her all over her little face. She gave him a hug and he stayed in Adrien’s room for a while, until he switched to Crystal’s room, but by the time he came there she was already asleep, so he just spread his four legs on the floor and snoozed there. 

All in all, a great trip with a few minor mishaps mom didn’t get to hear about and a happy ending for the sick dog.

Just a date? 

Aurora and Dylan have been living together for weeks now - in the city, in a great neighborhood, full of events and nice people.

It was Saturday and Dylan jumped out of bed like he got electrocuted. Aurora was still deeply asleep, so she didn’t notice anything. 

Dylan sneaked past the double bed and out of the bedroom and entered the living room where Obi, Rose and Zoey were resting. Obi immediately reacted to his best friend showing up. 

“Alright boy, let’s check the bulletin board...Pray that it’s the festival I need...” 

Dylan went out to the mailbox to check the board. He was hoping that the Romance Festival would be in town, for a very special occasion. He remembered it was their anniversary since the day they became an item so he wanted to celebrate it - and what better way than at a festival full of romantic vibes and drinks. 

However, he got crushed when he read the poster that he waited for. 

“What?! The Spice Festival?!” 

He screamed, and then quickly covered his mouth. He slowly returned to the apartment where Aurora was already up, doing breakfast for the two.

“Morning love, where have you been?” 

Dylan scratched his head, trying to think of an answer. 

“Well...I...was just, y’know checking for mail or rent notes...Nothing yet, that’s good.” 

He smiled and wrapped his hands around her while she was making pancakes. 

“Not now Dylan, you’re gonna make me burn breakfast...” 

She slowly moved closer to the oven and out of his embrace. He sat down on the dinning table and waited for breakfast. While he was sitting, he was thinking of a replacement for the festival. He wanted it to be special, and unique and now thanks to the unforseen change, he had to do something that wouldn’t be as unique as he wanted it to be. 

Obi approached him, looking sad. He just got up and gave him a hug. 

“We’ll find a way boy, I know we will.” 

Obi barked happily, and licked his face. 

Pretty soon, Aurora had about enough of being cooped in for days and headed outside on her own. This was the perfect moment for Dylan to get searching for ideas. 

While Aurora was sightseeing and playing basketball later on with the neighborhood’s youth, Dylan was busy going through websites on his tablet.

“This is so hopeless...” 

He was about to exit the browser, when an ad showed up. Normally he’d ignore ads like any sane person who’d like to have a clean computer or tablet or phone, but this wasn’t a spam-ad, in fact it was exactly what he needed. It was an ad about a restaurant called “Villa Bovine” - apparently a fancy new place that has recently been opened up in Newcrest, Aurora’s hometown. 

When Aurora returned from outside, Dylan stood up from the couch and spoke. 

“Hey, so uh...y’know how tomorrow marks about 6 months of us being...a thing?” 

She just smirked. Of course she knew, she had a present for him planned. 

“Yes, why?” 

He shyly looked into her sky-blue eyes that were blinking and staring into his. 

“Well, I got us a reservation...for “Villa Bovine”.” 

Aurora froze up. She didn’t see that coming. 

“You what now? Honey I don’t know if I should love you even more for this or freak out first...” 

He was confused. 

“Why would you freak out?”

She shook her head, giggling. 

“Well, because I think you’re a mind reader....No, seriously though I’ve been dying to go ever since it opened - I never had a proper excuse to use for it though, until now...” 

She ran into the bedroom and started going through the closet. She needed her finest outfit for the date. 

After a barely sleepless night, the following day came. In the afternoon, after a morning of doing absolutely nothing the two got ready and headed to Newcrest and the restaurant. 

After an hour of a trip, they were there and got a table. 

Dylan seemed even more nervous than before now. Aurora thought him being all worked up was because of the date, but then she started to recall all the secrecy going on in the past week and she was suspecting something was up, but she didn’t know what. 

They ordered what the chef recommended for the day again - a drink and the main course which was ‘Italian Meatballs’. While waiting for the waitress to come by with their order, they were talking. Aurora was trying to get to the bottom of Dylan’s tenseness. 

“So, I can see you’re all worked up for something still...What’s the matter?” 

She reached out for his hand, but he slid it back to his end and into his pants’ pocket. He was sweating, and Aurora noticed. 

“N..nothing..Really...” 

She just smiled mildly and let it be. Then, the waitress came by and they got their meal. When they were done, Dylan was again reaching into his pocket, only this time he took whatever he had in there out and got up .

“Aurora...” 

Aurora turned around and saw him standing next to her. She stood up, unaware of what was about to occur. 

“These past six months were a blessing for me. I’d been looking at you from afar for half a year before we first met...and, I never got the courage to walk up and introduce myself. But, I don’t know if it was dumb luck or something else that made us meet and...and now we live together....I guess what I’m trying to say is that I love the way you sing our song in the shower at 6am, I love how you run around with the pets and I love to hear your laughter echo around the house and...I don’t ever want to not have that in my life...I .....I want .... I can’t imagine life without you in it...heck I can’t even imagine our new place without you in it....So, what I was trying to ask is....would you marry an idiot like me?” 

Aurora stood in one spot, like she was cemented there and was speechless.The entire restaurant was staring at them and awaiting for her response. Even her best friend Isabelle was there and overheard the proposal. 

“Dylan..I...My God, I don’t even...Look at me I am literally in tears I...Yes, of course I’ll sing our song in the shower for you every morning at 6, yes I’ll cook the breakfast and I’ll laugh all the time, because...because you make me laugh and you make me inspired to cook and to sing in the shower....And...Yes, I will marry you, because I’d be the idiot if I rejected a sweet, kind and good man like you.” 

He was sobbing. He’d been planning this for so long and now it was finally happening. He had played all the possible scenarios over and over and one was where she says ‘no’. He  feared that one the most. But, when she said yes, his heart stopped for a few seconds. She took the ring, and started showing it off. 

Dylan stared at her, wondering how he got so lucky and while he was caught up with his thoughts, she jumped into his arms out of nowhere, leaving everyone in awes. 

They were both laughing so hard at what she did, and after a few seconds, Dylan felt a small cracking in his back so he put Aurora down before he could break an actual bone. 

Everyone applauded and congratulated the two. Aurora just looked at him with a smile. 

“We’re really doing this, aren’t we?” 

Dylan took her hand into his. 

“As long as you have that ring on, hell yes we are.” 

She burst into laughs. He went to the table afterwards and they took another pair of drinks to toast. Pretty soon, that drink made Dylan rush to the toilet, and Aurora stood up and went outside, to get some air.

She was thinking of everything that’s happened and about what was to come next...their wedding. She feared that they might argue over who wants what for the big day, but she figured that they’d have plenty of time to figure everything out. For now, she was staring at her engagement ring, smiling and still shocked.

“And at last I see the light....and it’s like the fog has lifted...”

Aurora was humming parts of their song, from their favorite movie and she realized that as the lyrics were correct, a fog did lift - and it showed a bright future ahead for both of them.

Aurora’s Vacation Attempt #3

After a day of resting up, Aurora and Dylan decided to continue where they left off with the temple. 

They took Obi with and walked back through to the trail they had gone through the first time. They got to the temple in no time, but something was way off. 

Both of them stood in the last room of the temple, one that was supposed to be filled with treasures, but it was empty instead. Dylan joked on how they might’ve decided to raid the wrong tomb. Clearly, Aurora wasn’t laughing at that pun. 

Aurora decided to take a look around. She approached a half-opened chest and she realized that the last time they were down there the chests were all closed. She leaned in to take a look inside, and it was indeed empty. So were the rest of the chests. 

She continued walking around and she came across four skeletons surrounding the room. They were all so cool that she asked Dylan to take a picture of her with one of them, though he seemed relatively scared because he thought it might come to life. 

While Aurora was quietly studying the skeleton, Dylan decided to get all the attention back on him. She started telling a joke related to the current situation to which Aurora paid attention but she was more interested in the skeleton at that moment. 

After they checked out the room again, they decided to go back to the first arch, pick up Obi and go to their lodging. 

When they got there, Dylan got the idea to ask Aurora out, while on vacation. He remembered the nice cantina near the marketplace. He went up to her room and asked her - and of course she accepted. 

The Selvadorada Date

That night was the most beautiful one they’ve had in a while. Butterflies were surrounding the Cantina and the hanging lights made the atmosphere that much more romantic. 

They arrived at the Cantina and walked in slowly. There was quite a crowd there, as per usual so their date wasn’t going to be a quiet romantic one. 

Aurora found a seat for herself at the bar, and Dylan was left standing on the side of it. He kept looking at her, wondering how he could be so lucky to have met her and was trying to man up and tell her how he actually felt. That, was easier said than done. 

Aurora was focused on getting her turn for a drink. He was still staring at her, gathering air and trying to speak, but he’d only end up losing the gathered oxygen and get trapped, unable to say a word. 

After a couple drinks and a few talks with the locals, Aurora felt like moving. The bartender turned up the music volume, and she got up to dance to a Latino song. She saw Dylan standing alone, so she dragged him to the dance floor with her too. 

His dancing attempts were hilarious but she seemed to enjoy them. She laughed on the side as she moved to the beats coming out of the speaker on the wall. Then, suddenly she stopped. She gazed at him for a bit and decided it was time. She’d been denying it for far too long, but every time he was around she would get all mushy and blush and stutter. But now, after a long while she finally got used to him, to his weird jokes and loud speaking, and the laughter - the one thing that made her heart skip a beat. She slowly approached him and asked him something she thought she was unable to do for a long time. She asked him what he felt. 

He took her hand into his and started pouring it all out. She just grabbed his waist and pulled him into an embrace and a kiss. This kiss meant something, it was a seal of their feelings for each other. 

After the long kissing, they let go of each other and started laughing awkwardly. But then they stopped. He just took a look at her, and pulled her in closer. He just wanted to be able to remember that moment right then forever. 

They decided right then that there truly was something special between them, and they didn’t let it go to waste. They had a few more drinks and afterwards left for their lodging where they continued goofing off by playing video games and watching funny Simtube videos. All in all, a perfect holiday date.
