her head is pounding, like a hammer pounding a nail into a piece of wood. she swears there’s an audible thump each time her temple pulses, one that anyone can hear. and by god, she’s late. a huff of breath escapes her lips as she slams on the brakes, causing scorching hot coffee to nearly spill down the front of her clothing and a string of curses to leave her lips. just another notch on the belt of being fucked by her morning choices.
scout had gone out last night - being it was a sunday she figured it was going to be just a drink or two with friends, that is, until they canceled on her. so she drank herself into oblivion and fell into the bed of a stranger she barely remembered the outlook of, and his name had no spot in her memory banks.
she walks into the office, gives a two finger salute to the desk sergeant, and then heads back to the bullpen only to hear the sound of a voice falling from @pistolism’s lips that causes flashes to form behind her eyes. a steamy retelling of the events from the night before. a blush rises to her cheeks and she beelines it towards her desk, hoping he won’t remember as well, or at least, won’t notice.
when he’s introduced by her fellow co-worker, she nods her head and glances up to meet his gaze, holding it for longer than a moment before snapping out of the haze and taking a bite of her donut to force her mouth to be occupied, as opposed to hanging open and letting the flies take up residence.
what if cloud met my other muses ? what would he think about them ? how would they interact ? what would be their vibe ? would they even run into each other ? PART 1.
because i am a curious little shit & would just like to think about this . please keep in mind that ... i have A LOT of muses ( an estimate of perhaps well in the 30s to 40s ) . this does include original characters - some even from books that i have written as well . & some aren’t located on tumblr . i will try to focus on just those that are on tumblr . for now .
i have decided that upon writing this , i will be making parts . this part will consist of characters that i have really STRONG muse for most days & am capable of picking them up any day upon request .
felix hugo fraldarius
felix is probably the best one for me to probably talk about - & i could really go off in a separate post about this anyway cause of the FFVII verse i have created for the lone wolf , but i will try to keep it simple for now ( & come back at a later date for him ) .
felix already technically knows cloud - to some extent - due to the fact that he’s met zack . he met zack while he was carrying cloud . & while felix couldn’t genuinely heal cloud well enough , he was at least capable of helping zack out enough . felix IS a merc in the FFVII world . but he isn’t typically found in midgar unless he has a reason to be in there . a lone mercenary that genuinely has no idea what’s going on . he does have his own sort of amnesia as well anyway . but ... he & cloud get along EXTREMELY well . felix is simply the more vocal of the two - & , yea , he’s more of an asshole . but hey , what can i say . broody attracts broody , ig . HRNGH .
cloud doesn’t particularly mind for felix either . like .. he doesn’t DISLIKE him at all . in fact , cloud probably more prefers the company of felix than some others . he doesn’t force him to talk if he doesn’t want to . he’s perhaps the best sparring partner for cloud ( & vice versa ) & he’s quite good about keeping cloud busy .
baizhu
given with how i write baizhu . i think there would simply be a LOT of similarities between the two . but ... i also would have to figure out a verse for baizhu in cloud’s world & then a genshin verse for cloud in the same regard . i do think ... at the very least . baizhu would be very much aware that cloud is sick . for baizhu , cloud would just STINK of death . but in that same regard , i think that would also be why the doctor from liyue would take an interest in cloud . because is very curious to see how cloud acts & whatnot but .... on the other hand , he also probably would not care much for cloud unless there is some sort of key or answer to immortality .
its probably cause baizhu doesn’t really care much for strength or anything . he’ll just look at cloud & say ‘ that young man is broken ‘ . & YET he would also turn around and be mused by the fact that cloud still persists .
cloud , though . probably would be REALLY hesitant in approaching or talking to baizhu . since baizhu is both a doctor & a researcher he probably just isn’t FOND of him . he’d have a hard time trusting him . yet ... if push comes to shove . he probably also wouldn’t mind biazhu as his go - to physician .
valentine ( oc - war god of courage )
i really don’t want to go into depth about valentine because there’s just A LOT for him . but in summary . vale is technically a fallen deity / angel . he is constantly being reincarnated whenever he dies - which , in cloud’s line of work , may happen more often than not . but his memory will consistently reset though . so he wouldn’t remember cloud . & with how he is a god . he’s not really often a patron towards ANYBODY . he was meant to be forgotten ( & yet that NEVER happened ) . again though . vale simply does not go out of his way to take care of mortals any more . since he literally gave his life & status as a god to protect them - which inevitably ended up cursing him - he just is far too tired .
that being said . he’d probably be a really good figure in cloud’s life . at the very least , he would ... be a bit more of a stable figure in cloud’s life . which cloud honestly needs . which is funny to think since vale would CONSTANTLY forget about him after coming back to life . but i still think that it’s vale’s loyalty & overall demeanour would affect cloud in a positive way .
& in that same regard , he actually does . cloud , doesnt mind vale at all . in some ways , he would look up to him a lot . almost in a sort of big brother or fatherly figure sort of way . granted , i don’t think cloud would ever ask for help from vale in terms of like ‘ can you physically help me fight something ‘ . because 1 : cloud would never ask for that in general . but also 2 : he doesn’t see vale like that . cloud sees him more as somebody that he would probably be more open about his mental and emotional health - which is funny to think of vale as some sort of shrink cause he’s not that a ALL fhdalfhk . but i think it is because cloud knows that whatever he tells vale , its not like vale will do anything . maybe offer some reasonable or sound advice ( in which cloud would probably not take anyway ) & just kinda ... not judge or act otherwise . which cloud prefers . he doesn’t need somebody to get involved . & vale doesn’t get involved at all .
evayne. ( DND OC )
lol she’s .... a mute anyway . so like ther interactions would most likely be silent . but the silence doesnt mean that nothing would happen . she’s a caster . as such , she’d probably be more attuned to some things that cloud isn’t . but she’d also probably just .... KNOW that there is something really wrong with cloud . in some aspects , she could be that quiet guardian who just lurks & sticks around just to make sure he’s okay .
cloud may enjoy her company since she’s quiet , but may not like her for being SO attentive . i think he’d be awkward with her . especially when he’s breaking down or just not doing okay . but ! that being said . i think they’re both really good for each other . especially since evayne is MORE than capable of keeping things a secret . she also doesn’t really prod or push a lot - even if she may be curious - but that’s probably cause she also has a lot of issues herself .
she’s a good companion for cloud though ! especially at night . while he has insomnia . she’s just .... nocturnal . so she’ probably would keep for good company at night . just ... two cats chilling together .

i actually do have a FFVII verse for her lol . she’s a merc . a blind merc at that though . which is often not known given with how she is able to technically see . she’s not SOLDIER by any means , not is she a part of the turks - though she is QUITE familiar with both & just shinra in general . but ... in regards to cloud ? i honestly couldn’t really tell you much aside from the fact that she thinks that he’s in over his head for a lot of things .
she might point that out to him , but like .. she really can’t force him to do anything he doesnt want to . i think though , overall . it may be a bit HARD to have a strong bond with him . since he also just tends to be indifferent towards her .
that said , i think he finds her to be a good merc & partner . i think he would often go to her for information . i also think he would forget that she’s actually blind too because of how she holds herself . then again . she also knows that cloud is definitely somebody who is extremely pensive & just ... thinks a lot . they’d probably have a lot of just interactions where it’s just silence . but unlike a lot of the other kinds of silence , its more of just .... a peaceful silence . gives them time to breathe . in a way , it would be similar to evayne ( the silence i mean ) . but it would be good for both of them .
day , though , probably has a bit more personality & sass though . she’d absolutely slap back with a few comments of her own . but also ... like vale , she would give him pretty profound & important advice .
