Here's a handful of Annie's layer jumps from the new demo!!
I posted Annie's the other day, so here's a collection of Anton's new (though mostly unused at the moment) layer jumps as well!
Huge fan of the new air guitar layer jump animation. Guy who's silly but thinks he's so cool.
Sprite update comparisons for Anton's clutch skid and roll animations between Dynamite Demo V1 (left) and V2 (right)!
Collection of death animations (ethically sourced)
My favorite file name out of all the layer jumps btw. Grab you. Grabbing you. Getting you.
Hellooooooooooooo!
Oooh, I see you are posting some files from the Dynamite Demo. Is there a chance there might be some Satan ones? I'm DYING to see them
There isn't much in terms of unused stuff for him, but I do have some neat info nonetheless! Interestingly, Satan's sprites all use green in place of black (for his legs, wings, horns, and crown) internally, and are then recolored / palette swapped when they show up in-game.
His laying pose is also split into several parts (separate sprites for the body, head, left arm, and each wing) that end up pieced together to form a single image, preventing any weird/incorrect overlap or desync with the lipsync frames. The other ones don't do this (presumably because there's less movement), so it's neat to see the different methods used alongside each other.
Anyway! I haven't put together any gifs for him yet, but here are a few upscaled transparent stills from what we've seen in-game so far!
Can we see more of the backside layer jumps?
Yup!!
The last one is a frame from his "boss victory" animation (not in this version of the demo), but now it's by itself and renamed to be the "fist up" background layer jump
