I can’t stop thinking about that Mydei is canonically rich and in modern au he’s reader’s sugar daddy
Hello anon! :) Okay, I’m intrigued by this concept, but I need more from you to really sink my teeth into it! The idea of Mydei as a sugar daddy is entertaining (mature, protective, would spoil someone he cares about…yes, yes, we‘re getting there), but “sugar daddy” can mean different things depending on the dynamic you’re imagining. :)
Just a few quick questions (answer as many or as few as you want!). And I‘ll also share some initial thoughts on this:
1. What kind of dynamic do you picture?
Soft and worshipful Mydei?
Or Reader being playful/bratty while he tries to stay composed?
2. How did they end up in this arrangement?
Purely practical → turns emotional?
Or already romantic but expressed through spoiling?
I’d love to chat about this dynamic or explore headcanons with you if inspiration strikes later. And maybe I could even write this sometime. :D
Feel free to drop more thoughts. I love seeing where people’s brains go with modern AU Mydei. He would absolutely spoil someone and not admit he likes doing it. :)
My initial thoughts:
I can absolutely see Mydei in this role. He’s mature, has that natural provider energy, and in a modern AU, him being wealthy makes total sense. He’d be the type to:
- Insist on paying for everything, not because of the “arrangement” but because he wants to take care of them
- Be quietly possessive (not controlling, but protective)
- Spoil them with thoughtful gifts, not just expensive ones
- Struggle with the line between arrangement and real feelings
- Be soft in private

Depending on Reader’s vibe:
If Reader is smitten/soft:
- Mydei would absolutely worship them
- Gentle, protective, wants to give them the world
- Sweet domestic moments
- Him being tender and attentive
If Reader is bratty/playful:
- Mydei would have his hands FULL
- The dynamic would be more push-pull
- Tension and banter
- Him trying to maintain composure while they test his patience
- Eventually giving in because he’s wrapped around their finger
