I completely agree. I feel like I've seen nothing but people being critical, and no one stepping back and even trying to enjoy it.

i'm mostly sad that it's doctor/master fandom that's upset...i looked around the old haunts, looking for squee, but i didn't find any! and i'm not sure if every point is valid, or how much misogyny is involved in it, and if people are only upset because it's het. there are some great criticisms, but i just wish i could find some positivity in the doctor/master fandom, of all places!

i've tried so hard to enjoy doctor who since series 6, and i'm happy that i enjoyed it tonight. that's that.

Ack I'm emotional, thank you so much guys!!! I'm really glad you enjoy them, they've been so fun to make, it's just that I do have other projects I was supposed to be doing so getting so sidetracked is....a problem haha. But thank you again for your sweet words and support!!!

Ha you're way healthier than I am lol

And I don't feel shut down like ... I stand by my post and my opinions and like if it came to it I'd totally discuss vanessagate because I'm easy to bait.

But I also do agree and I think it does get really toxic and crushing and it's more productive to be positive. And I don't want people to feel hurt or like they need to drop out. I mean I personally gain power from spite, but there's a cost and eventually you're just gnawing on your own tail.

Motivation's one thing, but there's too much joy to be had from fandom to get caught up in what other people think you know?

I'm rambling but yeah, I get you :)

Yo I totally hear you, and I think I agree. Like it's such an irrational sore spot on both sides you can't do anything constructive with it.

But like, especially because I know I do get aggro about it and also last time I did this it was so easy to get pulled off into like .... useless tangents, I really wanted to put down somewhere what  my main objections are. But I've got that now and I guess it's linkable so I'm probably good as long as I can remember to chill lol
