Today is me and my husband @dyslexicoedr‘s 9th wedding anniversary. We were married on February 2nd, 2008, but we’ve been together as a couple for much longer. Since we met in high school back in 2001 (February 5th), actually. We’ve been together the whole time and he’s still my absolute favorite person in this whole wide world. This is a little doodle of our original RPG couple from the very first game we ever played together (Mage: The Ascension, of course). I haven’t drawn these two in a long time and it was a nice little exercise to do today :) For our anniversary he took a couple days off work, so we’re gonna spend time avoiding the internet, eating awesome food, and just enjoying each other’s company.

I don’t think you get to, unless it was DLC or something. Aveline was the Heroine for Liberation, which was the Vita game, but I think they did a port so you can play it on the PS3, but it is a separate game.

Ugh.  She was the whole reason I wanted to play the game.  Ah well, at least your brother's enjoying it.

That sounds 100% awful. Good on them for getting away from what sounds like a toxic game. I recommend people looking for games try Meetup.com.

This is really sad; that someone doesn’t respect their players enough to realise that without the PCs, there is no story. The DM exists to tell the story, but the PCs, they bring the story to life, they drive the story. Otherwise, its nothing.

I just can’t understand DM’s like that. Whats the point? Do you really need that sort of an ego boost that you murder the characters that are the whole reason you play the game?

Excellent addendum by some rather smart people. 

Normally, I try to keep a rather banal stance on other folk's games, but I think this might be the one and only time it is correct to say that this person is simply wrong in the way they're running.

There's a running joke in my group between myself (Martial Arts Solar) and the combat optimized Lunar PC about this.

He often says "We need to get in a fight, quick! While I'm still ahead of you in power levels!"

I actually had to recently transfer my entire sheet to a different sheet because I had too many charms. Exalted is excellent.
