Know what’s been really bummin me out? The fact I have almost no long term memory? And the fact that my lack of working memory means I forget to do the things I can do to improve my memory, like I feel as if sometimes I’m losing my friends because I don’t remember all the sick times everyone else does.

Whenever I have one of those moments where I am unable to successfully lead food and drink into my mouth because of my broke ass coordination, I think about my great uncle whom I have met only twice.

My great aunt collects all sorts of fragile shit-- porcelain, crystal, glass, china stuff. Dolls, plates, etc. And she puts that shit all over their house. I mean it is packed with crap, on the floors and mantles and walls and literally everywhere. My great uncle is blind and without assistance he gets around that house without breaking anything. When I last saw them, he said the last time he'd broke any of her stuff it was a decade prior when they moved house and he wasn't familiar with it.

He gives me hope that maybe when I'm 70-80 I will be able to feed myself without ruining a shirt. Please, let it be in the DNA.
