Hey! Sorry that is out of the blue, but I have a random question and I’m not sure who to ask. Do you have any writing advice? I’m trying to write an omorashi story for the first time and not really sure what I’m doing. The basic summary is that Maya has an omorashi kink and challenges Franziska to see how long she can hold it. Franziska doesn’t like to back down from a challenge so she accepts while Maya does things like try to tickle her, make her drink water, slightly turn the sink on so Franziska has to hear it trickle, doing occasional panty checks to make sure it’s dry, etc. I haven’t written much before, and have never written kink anything. Do you have any advice?
I love random questions, don't you worry! :)
As for advice: First, I've found that everything is easier when you write for yourself. Meaning, writing what you would want to see or how things should go without worrying so much about what anyone else would think of it. Even if I'm filling prompts, I like to assume I'm the only one who's going to read it and that takes a lot of the pressure off.
Writing what you know" is helpful for having more accurate descriptions or reactions. That isn't to say you need to put yourself through a hold if you don't want to, but remembering what it was like to really have to go will help. If you don't read them already, finding and reading people's holding challenges that they've shared will also help a ton.
It seems like kind of hit-or-miss site for people, but omorashi.org is the place I know of for holding challenge threads.
In general though, just throwing yourself into writing (kink or otherwise) is the way to do it. It might feel silly or embarrassing at first and that's okay, just keep writing anyway as long as you still want to write. Don't worry about the quality either, especially when you're first starting. Just write when you want to, don't burn yourself out, and if you like it then you won.
If you don't like it, try to pinpoint what it is exactly you're having a problem with so you can work on it more. If you start your own separate, kink-related space(s) you could also post finished fic and/or WIPs to ask for advice and such.
I hope any of that was helpful! You have a solid idea already which, honestly, is like. 75% of the work done already in my opinion.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask!
