Almost saddening that Belos was doomoed either way if he won or lost he was doom to die with his goals NEVER being praised.
"Humiliation Conga: The last four episodes of the series put Belos — previously the untouchable Big Bad — through the wringer.
In the Season 2 finale, after getting tricked into being marked by the Emperor's Coven Sigil from Luz, he loses his human glamour due to the Draining Spell, succumbs to his monstrous form, and is eventually reduced to mere splatter against the wall by The Collector, who not long after undoes the Day of Unity with a simple gesture. His appearances in Season 3 show him as a decaying, vampiric creature who can only maintain his form by possessing other organisms, lest he slowly and painfully falls apart.
His plan to use the Titan's heart to destroy everything is foiled as Luz rips him out. He then tries begging Luz to help him when his body melts away from the boiling rain. Adding insult to that injury, his skull is crushed into a paste."
