Six years after Dzhirgen’s birth, the boy has grown into a lively, spirited, eager-to-please lad.
He inherited traits from his parents in looks as well- he has his mother’s brilliant peacock-hued, iridescent hair and bright eyes, but has features similar to his father’s.
After proving to his father, Adyan, in a rite of passage, that he (Dzhirgen) can well ride into the higher on a steed of lightning, his parents tease him a bit before they give their consent that their son accompany his father and “uncle”(godfather) into his (Dzhirgen’s) first journey into the higher heavens.
(For some reason Adyan and Hajar here remind me of Mufasa and Sarabi from The Lion King...I’d have to say Dzhirgen is more dutiful than Simba, though... )
