Which tropes do you gravitate towards when planning fics and which ones do you avoid like the plague?

Oooo this is such a good question!! Tbh it depends on what I’m writing. I’m so happy you like my e2l!!! Like e2l is my personal favourite to read, write, live (🥴🥴). Just the banter that can come from it is chefs kiss!!! If I’m writing a story where the smut is going to be especially rough I almost always make it best friends to lovers since I’m of the firm belief that for that kind of vulnerability you need a baseline of trust that you’re not going to get from a stranger or someone you’re not close to.
The ones I usually hate are anything to do with stalking/yandere etc. I think I might write cnc in the future but any tropes that play on the lack of consent whether that’s consent from inability (power dynamics like teacher/student or boss/subordinate) or disregard are never going to be in my fics 🤷🏻♀️
That being said I love writing just love lol so cheesy tropes are my bread and butter. Stranded somewhere? Begrudgingly sharing a bed? I hate you but actually I love you? Misunderstood idiots in love? YES YES YES. I LOVE THAT SHIT HAHAHA
