Ent|Asia Fanfiction Contest
Hello writers and readers! The Ent|Asia Event Coordinators and staff are pleased to announce the birth of a new quarterly event, the Ent|Asia Fanfiction Contest - the EAFF. In the wake of spring, the staff and I are excited to bring to you a new wind of excitement and an opportunity for anyone with the desire to show off their passion for story-telling.
Who Can Enter? Anyone How-To-Enter To enter, create a thread with your fanfic title and content on the Ent|Asia Fanfiction Contest forum linked HERE. This subforum can also be accessed through the Fanfiction and Writing forum in The Lounge. If your content is on another website, such as asianfanfics, livejournal etc, do post a link to it in the thread, but please try and paste the content into the thread if you can.
Regulations:
All submissions will be evaluated by an anonymous judging panel of staff members based on a simple rubric. When writing your story please consider all of the following: entry title, description/foreword, character development/showcasing, appearance, originality/plot, flow, and grammar/spelling. In addition, your story will be ranked according to the following three criteria: Continuity (25%) - which includes grammar, punctuation, spelling, and flow, Quality (25%) - which includes characterization, theme, and mood, and, of course, Creativity (50%) - which includes originality of plotline, originality of character and development, and uniqueness of writing style.
Rules
1. Entry must not contain defamatory statements.
2. Entry must not promote racism, bigotry, hatred or physical harm or harassment of any kind against any group or individual.
3. Entry must not contain any telephone numbers, street addresses or email addresses of any individual.
4. Entry must not invade privacy, publicity or other rights of any person, firm or entity
5. Entries rated 18+ cannot include any of the following:
Rape
Under-aged idols (idols under 18)
Bestiality
Male pregnancy
Unnecessary and / or over-the-top use of violence as a theme (if you have to ask if it's too much, it's probably too much)
Notes
Entries must be about Asian Entertainment (J/K/C-pop, J/K/C-drama, anime, etc.)
All genres (with the exception of Reader x ****) are allowed e.g. comedy, romance, mystery, 18+
Submission must contain no less than 500 words and no more than 3300 words
All entries must be submitted via link in this thread in one post
The final due date for all submissions is Sunday, April 17 (160417) @ 11:59PM EST
Prizes for the winner include:
A month long feature on the homepage of Ent|Asia's forum
A special spotlight on Ent|Asia's Tumblr, Twitter, and Facebook accounts
An exclusive user banner as well as 2,000 yuan on Ent|Asia's official site!
