Regional Committee Update
The October SREDA Regional Committee meeting was met by good attendance by regional partners. A sub-committee was formed to look at the possibility of regional housing strategies by way of ECHO funding. The Regional Committee meetings are held as a round table; these meetings are beneficial and informative as community leaders share contacts that may lead to business connections being made in the region.
Bioriginal Food & Science Corporation’s New Deal

Agri Innovation Forum 2012

Agri-business entrepreneurs may apply to present in either of two categories: Emerging or First Look Showcase. Also, non-presenting agri-businesses may request a display within the assigned Company Showcase Clusters in the conference networking area. The Company Showcase Clusters will consist of displays from innovative companies within the following three opportunity sets: Food, Energy, and Water.

University of Saskatchewan and Industry Liaison Office Tech Venture Challenge
Submit your application NOW for our second annual Tech Venture Challenge, a business plan competition open to U of S students, alumni, employees, and researchers.
The top ten ideas, selected by a panel of judges, will advance to develop a full business plan, competing for the grand prize.

Progress2Capital Business Planning Competition, 2013
Applications are now being taken for the 2013 Progress2Capital Business Planning Competition. Application deadline is January 13th, 2013. This competition is hosted and sponsored by SREDA and Regina Regional Opportunities Commission (RROC).
The Progress2Capital (P2C) Business Planning Competition is aimed at providing support and resources to entrepreneurs in Saskatchewan. P2C focuses on developing the business capacity and expertise for new start-ups through a six-month program of mentorship, training, guidance, and networking.
