Congratulations, it's an e-Journalist!
We are happy to announce the birth of the e-Journalist. Weighing in as a millennial, this baby is unlike any journalist you or I have ever encountered. Even in her first hours of life we can sense her ferocity, and the addiction she begs from her readers, listeners and viewers.
She is quick. She can piece together the details of a headline worthy story while she is riding the subway, and have it published by the next stop. The journalists born before her will struggle to keep up, and those born after will follow in her footsteps-- perfecting any kinks she encounters as a spearhead into new method of news distribution.
She can speak many languages, including the tweet, the vlog, and the podcast. She wears many hats, as an investigator, an instigator, and an inventor of trends. She knows the best buzzwords-- she can #hashtag without a second thought.
Perhaps most importantly, this baby will not be an individual that you or I will recognize on the street. She herself was born to be viral. Those around her will join her, and create an undercover band of reporters who could easily be mistaken for an innocent bystander texting on their iPhone.
So, know that you are being watched. She will grow exponentially, and we'll look back at the world before she was born with nostalgic fondness.
