Do you think that any of the team with powers or any kind of enhancements have worries or fears about their powers being passed on to their children?
This is a little bit of a difficult question to answer the way I normally do by just blending some comic book things with MCU things and if I only look at MCU there are not too many people to answer for.
You see in the comics, mutants exist and some of their powers are actually mutant powers. Wanda and Pietro actually want their kids to have powers and encourage their powers based on that.
If you look at the MCU, well Pietro is dead so he’s out of the equation. Most of the rest of them have a million concerns before they even consider having kids that the powers thing isn’t even on their minds yet. Sure Bucky might worry about that if he ever got to the point he wanted kids but he would have to get through his trauma, PTSD, fear of hurting people, touch starvation, feeling of inadequacy, etc, etc, etc, before the thought of having kids even passed through his head. Peter’s hardly thinking about things as deep as that while he’s balancing secret superhero persona with getting his homework done. And now he’s out of the MCU and Mutants are in so we will never know how adult Peter feels about that in a world where people are randomly born with superpowers anyway.
So here’s what I do know within the header of the MCU:
The Asgardians wouldn’t care. They’d expect it, the same way you’d expect any of your kids to be born with a nose. If anything, Thor and Brunnhilde would worry about having a kid with a Midgardian in case they didn’t get their long life, strength, and powers.
For Steve, it obviously wasn’t a huge concern because he ended up having three children with Peggy.
Bruce absolutely won’t have kids by choice for fear of passing on the Hulk.
Wanda (and Pietro if he’d lived long enough to have kids) would be delighted for any kids of theirs having powers.
If Carol every decided to have biological kids, which I’m unsure she would, she would be happy if they were superpowered.
T’Challa knows his kids won’t be born with his powers but will expect that one day they use the heart-shaped herb to gain them. He’d be okay with that.
It would be in the list of worries Bucky has about having kids.
When Peter is married and thinking of starting a family, yeah he’ll worry about that, but also about the fact it was a radioactive spider that gave him his powers and what other negative things that could mean about his and any child’s biology. It won’t stop him from trying though if his partner wants children.
Wade would love a mini-supersoldier.
