I was much more interested in what was going on with the FBI & friends than I was with the Alchemist.
The false-DNA plot has been done multiple times on different shows, it was not a shocking, novel idea...but the show did it well and made the Alchemist an interesting enough character.
The Alchemist was ruthless and unsettling with his smiley-way of going about his business and his complete disregard for his ex-wife and kid's opinions of him.
I bet the Alchemist and his skills will be instrumental with later parts of the show. (Remember the little flashes of Reddington's family?) So now we have some background potential set up, and a plethora of new information for the FBI to sort through regarding various criminals (and blacklisters?).
Back to the FBI:
Meera is the mole! -confetti-
Okay, maybe this isn't the best thing to celebrate, BUT, it looks like Meera is going to stick around and I can't wait to get the backstory behind why she became the mole.
I'm frustrated that they waited until the last 15 seconds for the "big" reveal and left us hanging until next week for answers.
But then again, this is television and they have to keep us hooked somehow.
So Meera is the bad guy, but she is still a badass and I still like her as a character. :)
We got to see more of Aram (yay!).
Ressler revealed his adorable but none-too-surprising need for advice when it comes to interacting with the lady he likes. (However suspicious we are of Audrey, Ressler is smitten)
And asking Elizabeth for advice?
Can I say my eyebrows were a mile high and I was grinning like a cheshire cat?
How the tables have turned!
Mr. Suspicious-I-don't-trust-you-FBI-man Ressler asking Lizzie for dating advice?
Looks like we have friendship established!
It must have been those 6 months of crutches and desk jobs that broke the ice. :D
Yay!
And just in time since Meera is questionably trustworthy as an ally for Elizabeth. Ressler is a straight arrow and potentially a very good mentor who isn't going to try and manipulate Elizabeth.
Unlike Reddington, who it seems is taking full advantage of his (valid) excuse to avoid the FBI in order to meet with Lizzie alone, unsupervised, whenever it suits him.
And it doesn't seem to set off warning flags for Elizabeth!!!
I'm not sure how much she trusts Reddington and I'm not sure if she should or not...
Which brings us to Tom....
Guys, guys, we need to talk about Tom.
Tom Keen. The main man in Lizzie's life...but how much longer is he going to hold that place?
Reddington seems to be circling ever closer and I don't know if that's a good thing.
Reddington has already tried to have Tom Keen killed...is he also the one setting Tom up now?
And setting Tom up for what?
Is the goal to lure Tom to cheat and then turn the evidence over to Elizabeth? Or is it darker than that?
Not to mention, I just don't see Tom cheating on Lizzie (defined here as sleeping with someone else) under his own judgement.
Yeah, he ran off to an art gallery show when his wife stood him up yet again for a dinner date.
Yes, it was self-indulgent of him but I don't see Tom jumping into bed with that lady anytime soon...unless drugs or copious amounts of alcohol are involved.
Which seem quite possible if the lady was hired to frame Tom.
