Fulcrum

What is the Fulcrum? Folcrome?

A fulcrum is “the point on which a lever rests or is supported and on which it pivots.”

If you care to remember your high school physics, the fulcrum is very very important, because it allows you to magnify your force and move things that otherwise would be unmovable.

Aka the point of leverage.

Quite a humorous name to give the whatever-it-is Reddington is using to make the big-bad-powers-that-be stand at bay.

It's worth a chuckle. Very clever naming.

But as for what the Fulcrum actually is, I have no idea.

But Reddington has it. And it is keeping a very powerful group of people from moving all-out against him.

The Fulcrum could be a thing, a piece of information, a person, who knows.

But the Fulcrum is apparently a very big deal, and very dangerous (either in terms of actual raw power or its power to unsettle the current status quo).

Reddington has been using it to successfully blackmail a very powerful group of people into letting him escape from whatever work he was doing with them at one point, and to make them allow him to operate as he sees fit.

Again, all of this negotiating about the Fulcrum (stealing it, hiding it, threatening people with it) points to at least one (if not multiple) other powerful parties involved (besides Reddington and the group Fitch was a part of).

So, what is the fulcrum?

Where is it?

What does it have to do (if anything) with Elizabeth and Reddington's crusade?
