Basically a AU where Natsu let's Mira take over his soul for a time frame in his E.N.D form.

Since Mira isnt purposely trying to take Natsu over, their souls are kinda just in limbo of control and get confused in the process. I know this isnt how takeover works but I wanna have fun lol.

They both become this creature that is confused half the time and likes Lucy alot (Cough cough thats Natsu).

I don’t have time to do something new for Natsu Day (because I didn’t realize it was coming up till it was too late 🥲) So I took the small intro animation for one of my Nalu week Prompts this week so I can have a Natsu Day post 😂 It’s small but I love how squishy he is

Just curious, how do you think Natsu would react to seeing the END markings on Lucy?

Outwardly, Natsu doesn't say anything. He plays up the oblivious, idiot role so he doesn't have to confront the guilt he feels about it

The marks never went away. They faded pretty light but you can still seem them when the sun hits them. Lucy uses makeup to cover them as well

But Natsu has better eye sight than most. So he always sees them and it kills him. He never looks down when talking to her

Somehow he feels like if he looks at them or acknowledges them in anyway, he will explode with guilt

He accidentally grabbed that arm and flinched like he had been burned. Lucy got really insecure when he pulled away and got quiet

Actually, Lucy gets really insecure about Natsu's behavior in general. He won't even look at her half the time and she worries that he thinks she's disgusting with her scars

Every time Natsu thinks about the marks, he remembers that he wasn't strong enough to protect her or himself. And that she had to go through all of that pain to save him

He's eternally grateful that she saved his life, but he can't help but hurt when he sees the consequences of that

Lucy does eventually confront him about it. Natsu denies everything and tries to pretend he never noticed the marks. Lucy calls bullshit, but he's acting so weird that she drops it

It takes a long time for Natsu to talk to her about it. And when he does, he fully breaks down and dumps all the guilt and trauma he's been suppressing for years

He ends up crying in her arms and apologizing for not being enough

Lucy, of course, disagrees with that and tells him that he's saved her life tons of times and that she'd do anything for him

Natsu finally allows himself to look at the marks after that

He even picks up a habit of tracing them with his fingers on bad days

It reminds him that he doesn't have to be strong all the time, that Lucy can protect him and herself, and of the history they share

i'm writing (big surprise) and i just can't drop the whole rewriting of END thing. WHAT DO YOU MEAN SHE REWROTE HIS LIFE IN ORDER TO SAVE HIM, IN HORRIBLE AGONY FROM HAVING DEMON'S FIRE SPLITTING HER UP ATOM BY ATOM AS SHE USES SOME OF THE MOST POWERFUL MAGICS KNOWN TO EARTH (love) AND SHE SACRIFICES HER LIFE DOING IT (yeah yeah gray's demon slaying ice and whatever is great)

BUT WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT??? THERE HAD TO BE MORE, IT WAS JUST ENDLESS NALU MATERIAL AND MASHIMA JUST "HAPPENED" TO BE A LITTLE LAZY

WHERE'S THE SCARRING AND WHERE'S NATSU FEELING FAINT SHIVERS THAT GIVE HIM A SENSE OF LUCY THAT HE NEVER CAN GET RID OF (not that he wants to ofc) AND WHERE'S THE SCENE OF HER TELLING HIM ABOUT IT, ACCIDENTALLY ADMITTING THAT SHE COULD HAVE DIED, BUT SHE DID IT ANYWAYS AND NATSU JUST VOWS TO SPEND HIS ENTIRE LIFE REPAYING HER BECAUSE HE KNOWS THAT SHE SAVED HIM OUT OF PURE LOVE AND HE CAN'T DENY IT AND THEY CRY IN EACH OTHER'S ARMS JUST BECAUSE THEYRE SO HAPPY THEY BOTH SURVIVED THE WAR
