Finally I draw ugly old men not because I want to but because I have to :D A piece of art... suddenly for my university I need to do a couple illustrations for E.T.A.Hoffmann's story. I've chosen "The Sandman". So here it is. Well a part of it - couple characters will be bellow and they're in process now. Promise you a post about my future failure with this. I dunno why but usually my university teachers don't appreciate much my usual art :\ _ Yah he is a little bit prettier than he supposed to be :р

E.T.A. Hoffmanns "Apfelweibla"-Tor in Bamberg. In seinem Kunst-Märchen "Der goldene Topf" wird der Türknauf lebendig und verflucht den Protagonisten.

E.T.A. Hoffmans Applewoman-Portal. In his romanticism-fairytale "The golden pot" the doorknob with the face of an old woman the protagonist tripped over on the market becomes alive to condemn him. Disney took some inspiration from this.
