The City of Ember Book Review by Olivia Huang
The City of Ember is a young adult novel that has fantastic real world occurrences. The story is of a girl and a boy named Lina and Doon who live in an underground city created by the “Builders.
The City of Ember is also a dystopian book which makes it even more interesting because of government control and action.
City of Ember also has tense parts so people will get excited to see what's next, such as when the waves of the sewers were pounding on Lina, Doon and Poppy.
The City of Ember has a lot of elements of how Ember is breaking that's what sets off the adventure.

The City of Ember is the best book ever because it's super exciting and has lots of action. First, it is one of the best themes -dystopian- because there are a lot of fantasy in it such as the underground city in The City of Ember. Dystopian is when somethings not right in a strange city, but it can be on earth. Second, it has a lot of action because they follow the instructions through serious and super steps including the boat, rock marked with "e", and more. Finally, it has a happy ending when they escape to the bright world and see the blue sky! All the characters are unique. For example, Lina is imaginative and Doon is serious. The Mayor is greedy and Poppy is active. WOW! There is so much in this book!
The City of Ember is a pretty amazing book!!
