I did a little research on the Odyssey Telemachus and Argos because why not. Apparently because of the way he was described to be hunting "less ferocious game", he may have been a now extinct breed of dog called Laconian. The closest living descendent is speculated to be the Hellenic Hound (or Greek Harehound) so thats why theres a picture of one.
