Oasis Springs, Cacti Casa.
Summer of ‘69
It’s hard to believe that in just a few years time (albeit in a semi-alternative/hypothetical universe) a young Sophia (25) and a gracefully aging Thomas (35) had twins (have another baby on the way), and on a whimsical whim bought the delightfully dim “Cacti Casa” property in Oasis Springs with the successful idea of renovating it to be the hip new digs of the valley. Behold the mid-century magnificence unfolding before your eyes. It’s sure a home to please, yet there is no doubt that Sophia has her outnumbered hands full running after two rambunctious “rugrats”, while upholding the glamourous social scene of the neighborhood (poolside cocktails, fashionable dinner parties, weekly tennis matches),.. Sophia is sometimes even lucky enough to convince her stubborn hotel mogul husband - who cannot resist the intense Oasis Springs golf tournaments the summer season provides – to share a romantic dance in the living room to Bobby Vinton’s “Blue Velvet”.
