I love the intrigue of Astrid not telling Eadwulf that Bren is 1) alive and 2) nearby. It’s our first hint of dissent among the Volstrucker (aside from Bren’s explosive breakdown). Has she just not processed it yet and wants to keep it to herself until she has a plan? Is she worried Trent will be more likely to find out if more people know? Does she think Eadwulf will compromise them to rush out to find him immediately?
