The Victor K.1 Flying Tanker is the subject of the Eagle Data File No. 35 from Eagle No. 53, dated 26 March 1983. The Victor was originally one of the RAF's three 'V-Bombers' (along with the Vickers Valiant and the Avro Vulcan) before being converted to other duties such as air-to-air refuelling.
The 'K' role designation is used by several air forces for tanker. I'm assuming because 'T' was already taken for 'Trainer'. Might have used K for 'Kerosene'.
The Victor retired from RAF service in 1993 outlasting both the Vulcan and Valiant. Four examples (1 x bomber and 3 x tankers) still survive today in displays around the UK but none are airworthy. Treasury of British Comics.
The Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit, produced from 1980 to 1997 (with a few variants), was the subject of the Eagle Data File No. 32 from Eagle No. 45, dated 29 January 1983.
The Edgley Aircraft 'Optica' was the subject of the Eagle Data File No. 36 from Eagle No. 57, dated 23 April 1983. It first flew in 1979 and only around 20 ended up being built (with a varying amount of those being reported as destroyed in a factory fire in 1987). The Optica may also be familiar to anyone who has seen the 1989 movie 'Slipstream' (which isn't many, let's be honest).
Leyland's Double-Deck Super Coach! The Leyland Olympian is the subject of the Eagle Data File No. 33 from Eagle No. 50, dated 5 March 1983.
