There is a particular kind of intensity in a golden eagle's gaze that is difficult to describe but impossible to look away from. This illustration puts that gaze front and center. The eagle is perched on a weathered branch, talons gripping with quiet certainty, its rich warm brown feathers layered and detailed with real care. Around it, vivid purple fireweed rises in full bloom, bright and wild against the warm tones of the bird. Pine branches stretch out on either side, grounding the whole scene in something that feels genuinely wild and northern and alive. It's a piece about focus. About the kind of creature that exists entirely in the present moment, attuned to everything, distracted by nothing.
