LEGENDS NEVER DIE
dimitri alexandre blaiddyd / edelgard von hresvelg / claude von riegan
❝ El-- ❞ The flame emperor -- cause of war , bringer of apocalypse . Claude didn’t want to believe it . It was crazy to think she would be the reason all of Fodlan came crashing down upon itself -- to be honest , he was scared of her . She used to be the world to him and their little affair was . . . something special to him . But there’s no point to lamenting about the past , even if his heart ached ever so slightly .
❝ It’s been long-- and you’ve changed, ❞ A pause , glancing over Edelgard’s new attire , crown and her face . She looked pretty , he’d give her that . . . but he won’t admit it ( even to himself )
❝ but for the worst . I guess nothing can save you now from this ideology of yours ... ❞

We Belong Together - Accepting! - @eaglethroned
Byleth looked over at Edelgard, eyes looking her over as she spoke. “....... I...don’t know what exactly to say.... If you mean I serve you... then you’re right.” He made his choice, and that was to stand with Edelgard.
eaglethroned replied to your post ““If I may ask… How much cheese is too much cheese? I’m asking… for… a...”
" sure you are . "
“I’m hurt Edelguard. You think I would eat cheese to my heart’s content?”

you will not marry. it is unheard of. at this age ? at this potential ? no, certainly not. marriage is not an option. it is not a thought. you are a general — soon to be, anyways. a military genius. you will not be tied down to someone you have never met, someone you have never heard the name of. you refuse. you refuse.
yet, father drags you forward, no matter how much you struggle. one of his elaborate schemes to romance the empire, you believe. you always knew he was the village whore of connections; once he had a taste of fame, he would do just about anything for more. or maybe it was sweet penelope — penelope, who had drowned you fifty times over in a wash basin; penelope, who had set fire to your black ballgown and called you the careless one; penelope, who brandished a torch to purge the crest from your skin. maybe it was her. she always loved to ruin your life.
“ i say, unhand me ! when i marry, it will be by my own will, not to some foolish groom with no sense of— ”
white hair. white hair, and stunning eyes that stare deep into your heart. you recognize lady edelgard immediately, and you cut your words short, whether it be out of shock or of reverance. you have never known yourself to stutter, but … this woman that you were destined to serve, to fight for … she is to be your wife. she is to be your wife, and arguing is not an option.
you are in no place to argue with the emperor.
“ l … lady edelgard … your highness ? ”
REACH FOR MY HAND — ☀️ — @eaglethroned
☀️ — RAIN had been falling in sheets for the past few days, as the spring months tended to do. Many students hop and skip between awnings and doorways in an effort to keep themselves dry, the lights normally illuminating the pathways covered to prevent from being extinguished. The evening’s seminars have just let out, a burst of students running for cover as they take shelter in their rooms or open halls. Soon, the outdoor plazas and pathways are devoid of a soul. Well, MOST souls.
Byleth didn’t mind the rain. In fact, he ADORED thunderstorms. The raw power of nature never ceased to fill his chest with a warmth he didn’t necessarily understand but enjoyed. He’s just about to step out into the deluge when a swath of red catches his eyes. Stepping back, he looks out to see Edelgard standing in the doorway across the hall, staring out into the rain and mist.
For a moment, he’s inclined to believe she’s only waiting for a softer shower before making her way to wherever she’s going. But, upon taking a step toward her, he sees a familiar look in her eyes - LOST IN THOUGHT. It was never daydreaming. No...she was looking ever forward, like every second was wasted if it wasn’t catering to an ambition. There was calculation, intensity, judgement -
And darkness. A heavy shroud of darkness.
A second passes before he shifts near soundlessly to her side (though he makes his last couple steps louder so she isn’t startled.)
“...You’re looking at the rain like it OWES you something,” his tone lightly implies humor but not fully. “Are you alright?”
lady edelgard..... this is the golden deer classroom.
