The Sims 2 Legacy Collection is so broken atm….

I have played The Sims 2 since it came out and I have never seen it this broken before.. The pictures is speaking for themselves. I playtested without mods or cc installed. (Bought the game on Steam, using Windows 10 on my high spec gaming PC)

The Curious household is the most broken thing I have ever seen..

Rod Humble doesn't come with just one present. He comes with at least two, every sim day! You only get one PC, so he's arriving with empty boxes. He also gets stuck and teleport in the process!

The alien abduction is not working as it should in this particular family. Vidcund's abduction is not working as intended at all. The abduction cutscenes is severely bugged and doesn't actually abduct him. He can be abducted without the cutscene, but it's still kind of bugged. The abduction sound gets stuck forever in a loop. When Vidcund comes back, the UFO is bugged in the air and won't ever disappear. No pregnancy occurs. The birth of Pascal's alien baby cutscene is also broken.

I have different experiences with cooking/serving food. Sometimes it's working, sometimes it doesen't. The sims forgets the meal in the middle of making it. When using the stove, the food bugs out and disappears, while the sound from the stove continues. This happens mostly in the Curious family. The door to the oven gets stuck, when the animation bugs out.

I have also encontered a problem with the vacation reminder notification. When Lazo took a day off work the notification came as usual, but It didn't stop.. as you can see.

I have seen a lot of people having problems with crashing when they have made a family in CAS. I did not experience crashing but the loading screen just.. skipped. The family got saved to the family bin.

I have seen people having problems with the mirrors when changing appearance, but I personally haven't experienced it.. yet.

I tried the alien abduction in another neighbourhood and the cutscene and everything worked well.. Everything unless the birth of the alien baby, which was still bugged. I tried multiple births of "normal" sim babies and these where completely normal.

If you bought the game and have any problems, please report it. I have reported my experience with these bugs. According to SimsCommunity's website EA have made a statement:

We recognize some fans are currently experiencing various issues with The Sims: Legacy Collection and The Sims 2: Legacy Collection. We are currently investigating these issues and hope to have more information on fixes soon.

To help with our investigations, please ensure you’re including screenshots, videos, dxdiags, and (for TS1) vulkaninfo.exe files in your bug reports."

ngl, this whole experience was actually kind of funny cause everything was such a mess.. I would wait to see if this get's fixed, before you buy!

Issues with the EA app

Idk if anyone else is having an absolutely stressing and frustrating time with the the new Origin reeplacement process in favour of the EA app.

My game (TS3) was already a bit laggy and I though it was due to the cc and mods I have installed. Today, the Origin app basically obliged me to downloaf the EA app as a reeplacement, since Origin is not available for Windows anymore, and so I did.

It works awfully, in fact, it doesn't even work. The app will open a large, empty square with nothing on it, or simply it will open a non-existing window, like this:

This is beyond upsetting for me, TS3 is the only game I play and I invested a lot of time on a single family, 5 generations to be exact, and I had made some personal use cc.

Origin was trashy but it did the job, I'm done with EA releasing half done content and calling it a day, I just want to play the damn game in peace. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Is any of y'all having trouble installing the ea app because mine won't install (I use windows 10). Weeks ago I finally got a message on origin forcing me to switch to the ea app. So I asked people in different sims groups how I transfer my game to the ea app. After getting different answers, I decided to attempt to download & install the app. I download the app but it wouldn't install. I tried asking ea help about it nobody answered. After more tries I got irritated and gave up.

So I tried finding different tutorials on youtube on how to transfer sims 3 form origin to the ea app. I only found tutorials on how to transfer sims 4. So then I found a video on how to get rid of the ea download message. It ended up working, so I played the sims 3. But then when I opened up origin one day, options popped up to update it or play offline.

I chose to play offline but it wouldn't let me play offline, so I got irritated and without thinking, I clicked the first option to update it. Then the ea download message poped up again. I tried the tutorial on how to get rid of the ea popup again but this time it didn't work. So is there anyway to keep using origin or downloadthe ea app & transfer the sims 3 to it without losing anything? Because until I somehow find a way to transfer it to the ea app, or download origin again. I won't be playing the sims 3 right now.

can anyone help me?

so everytime i try to open origin or Sims 4 nothing happens, like it looks like its going to open with the loading circle on my mouse, but nope, siKE, ANYONE PLS HELP
