“Kiss the brick! Kiss the brick!!” THESE ARE MY KISSES. TAKE IT LIKE A MAN! /J
Ughh I just need to sit down and right a 400 page fanfiction about the grotesque events that happen in Ruin’s past. I have SO much fan-lore and theories based off in-show implications, dude.
This being one of them,
Monty along with the rest of Ruin’s friends were often locked up in separate cells. This was to keep them apart in case they’d try to kill each other. If they were getting too violent in their cells, they could be forced offline for a time until they were needed. Say, a city raid or government involved battle.
Ruin has very limited free time when it comes to being a front-line solider, but when he gets a chance - and EVERY chance, he’d visit his friends and try to calm them. If they were ever force offline, he would try to soothe them before they dropped. He’d ramble or vent to the muffled and distorted screams around him - just to drown out his thoughts out loud in a place his Creator wouldn’t hear, and even show off little things he’d find to his friends when they were a bit more sentient.
The barriers in cells are closely related to those one cells in Steven Universe (because it’s the BEST CELL DESIGN EVER). It disrupts coding, burns through silicone, metal, and plastic…and is just downright agonizing to touch. It would take a lot of willpower for them to power through it, but most of them prioritize survival first. Except Monty - so he’d be the first to break out. Luckily for the Creator, Ruin’s little visits are keeping Monty at bay. Yay! [Fuck you. - Ruin]
Ruin considers trying to break down that barrier himself…whether by hacking or brute force. He’s never gotten a full conclusion, so he just toys with it like a vaccine. It hurts like hell, but anything to get a few inches closer to his zombie husband.
He has, in fact, caused himself numerous injuries for this. He literally loses a SECOND finger in this comic…great job, Ruin. Can’t wait to tell Creator.
It took some while, lmao, but it was super fun to do!
These desings (except for Puppet's) are what i imagine they would wear after Puppet's death.
Close-Ups + Pallete Color + Silhouette+ Fun Facts:
Eclipse:
I made the image Eclipse's shirt inspired by the desing in his canon sweater, but it also represents Puppet's magic! And each star represents some of his closest friends
Puppet:
In the silhouette Puppet has short hair to show more of her form, but i also did her long hair!
I also tried her white hair, but idk if it looks that good...
I also had a dificult time doing hers and Charlie's faces, but i'm satisfied of how it is right now.
Charlie:
Charlie was really fun to do! And as you can see she has a little star in her chest! And yes, it is a reference to Eclipse!
And i didn't do a shorter or white version of her hair, cause i didn't really wanna to.
Ruin:
This son of a bi*** was the hardest to do. If you saw the sketch i posted before rigth here, you'll see he looks totally diferent from it.
Because when i got to start painting him, i noticed i didn't really like the desing i did for him before, so i had to do it all over again, so now he looks better than before.
Eclipse refuses to accept he's a dad because he believes that he is unredeemable. He keeps reaffirming to himself and Charlie that he is not her or the boys dad. In his mind he feels that if he dares to believe that he is a dad he will fail or lose them. Desperately, he tries to disconnect himself from any relationships as a way to protect himself. He fears that allowing himself to be vulnerable will only lead to the same pain he has always known.
Oh also Eclipse's favorite color is purple but he won't tell anyone 😋
This is an old mini-comic I drew on magma that I figured is relevant to show off!!
Ruin had a LOT of “tweaks” done when Não (His Creator) took him. This is one of them, Ruin has a literal aim bot built into his systems. This is why his main weapon of choice is a sniper.
He tries to create excuses to avoid guns, because he can self sabotage mid-battle much easier if he has to rely on his body.
Though, it becomes apparent he’s faking fairly quickly when “not wanting to kill others” intertwines with “not wanting to die”. One second he’ll be struggling with a random human, the next he’s DISASSEMBLING TANKS. It’s all a matter of circumstance, but he trips up easily.
Hi! I just wanted to know if you have a Charlie design, idk I just want to see it. I love your art!! <3
I do, in fact!
This is a bit of a draft design - you have no IDEA how hard it was to finally put my thoughts together after neglecting her design for SO long…
This design may change in the future! As typically all of mine do…
If you know me, you know I need to have a reason for every detail. Though I explained all of them in this makeshift ref sheet, I thought about making comics for some of these details. Like the sewing detail!
She has a lot of star symbolism, but it’s not just to signify being Eclipse’s daughter! I like the idea that Puppet was essentially a Star already, and thus Charlie is also a newborn Star.
She is just the SWEETEST THING!
Don’t get me wrong, I do like the thumbnail artists’ interpretation of her design…but it just never sat right with me!! It feels almost too mature with the little vest they gave her. WHICH I LOVE, but also eehhh it’s not giving Charlie imo…
But if you’re ever dissatisfied with something, pick up a pencil and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! /POS
Eclipse is very clingy but only after he's had time to adjust to someone. He'll try to pretend that he doesn't care but all he really wants is to always know that they are safe.
