Edd Blabbering abt the Finale (MY OPINION!)

In the way I interpreted the ending, I believed it was appropriate that Jax didn’t un-abstract in the finale. What Jax had become was extremely complicated and can’t be solved through a quick “this isn’t you” montage. I don’t think abstraction was a complete end-all-be-all considering they’re still inside and have some sort of fight against it, so I believe everyone can come back from their worst selves through strength and time.

I like to believe Jax unabstracts eventually and without ceremony. I believe she’ll come out in shambles, but ready to finally put herself back together and join everyone else.

The way Gooseworkx portrayed Jax seems to be lost on a lot of people, because this is representation for a type of person people don’t WANT to think about. Jax was representation for those who give into weakness and become their greatest fears. When an average person encounters someone like that, they see the worst, and remember them as the worst, which is why I believe so many people don’t enjoy the way this is focused on Jax. You’re not actually seeing the underlying depth of it which DOES require a lot more emotional intelligence than I believe the average person has. (WHICH ISN’T A BAD THING INHERENTLY! But it’s always good to learn and constantly evolve yourself!) It’s BECAUSE that type of person is hard to talk about. Especially if you’ve experienced them in a similar way Gangle has and find yourself relating to her, it makes it painful to think about.

Which, by the way, defending Jax does not equate to emotional intelligence. Those who baby and forgive him for everything are just as blind as those who hate him for eternity. I feel like nobody says that but I need that out there.

Jax was such a compelling character which can make for even more compelling and hard-to-swallow stories that are IMPORTANT to talk about. I truly thing TADC was game changing. AND THAT’S ONLY FOR ONE PERSPECTIVE! Everyone in this show had such real, raw stories to express with different but complex emotions. It made me push past what I was comfortable with emotionally, and I feel like I’ve come out of it stronger and smarter. It hurts to see lots of others fail to grasp what the show was really trying to express, as this was extremely good representation on the human experience — but very little people seem to see what I’m seeing.

Goose gets it though. I was very happy with the finale.

I liked the idea that the scars of abstracting never leave Jax, but they don’t hold her back, either. I thought it would be cool if they became a part of her, to express what she’s been through while blooming into something much more beautiful to match up with her progress.

RUIN IN WONDERLAND UPDATE

Concept art for some designs so far! I've been working on a lot more of the outline for the story to give it more structure for when I'm fully writing it.

I'll be tweaking them here and there, these are not the full release!

What is happening behind the scenes?

I'm world building! (It's a rather BIG world.) In order to grasp the environment I want to design, I'm trying to line and draw it out first before I go into the story and write it.

How's the story itself going?

I reached the first key event that will be appearing, but realizing how much more I need to do for the world itself, I have taken a pause to line all of that out first, as it is the main story.

After time has passed, I will also have to somewhat rewrite the first half to give it more structure and character and become more immersing to read.

I am working when I can!!

So... How do you feel that Ruin's dead? Like, for REAL. Charlie somehow broke the bind and Titan gave him an easy way out, for some reason.

I think I am tired of TSAMS at this point.

I am glad he's dead, because his ultimate ending shouldve been rejoining Monty. Though, this was not given.

Instead, he is still being milked for views, and his ending was ultimately destroyed leaving him completely unfinished.

He should not have died that fast, nor nearly as easily. What was the point of giving him immortality by someone who is ABOVE Star Power if all it takes is a small spell to undo it?

It destroys his repayment of his sins, and I am tired of trying to explain this show to myself so I can watch an episode without the feeling of eyebags under my eyes.

I consistently defend the writers when talking about TSAMS, but I was doing this while they were putting out their best work.

Davis and Reed made it clear they are not as passionate for this show as they were, so the writing is lazier.

They have also made it clear they care more about clicks and views and payment than the story itself, and if angst sells, that's what they'll keep doing.

They also made it clear the show will not be ending.

I may be somewhat emotionally charged right now, but I have been thinking this for years, I just never wanted to pull out because I feared many would stop listening to me, as TSAMS characters is all they care about in my content.

I do not want to be dragged along this forever train. I can't keep stomaching it. I need something nourishing, which is something I can't say TSAMS is to me anymore.

I jumped to my own writing a very long time ago when I started noticing the empire of TSAMS start falling apart.

I will still be working on those. I love the stories I want to share. Ten Week Eclipse, Ruin In Wonderland, Ruin's 40 years, etc.

I want to focus on writing those stories in a way that is nourishing, conclusive, nuanced, but rounded and something to learn from.

TSAMS started like that for me, like many other great people.

I fear it has lost that now.

Ruin is being left unfinished. I don't believe he is in a state where he can be finished in a satisfactory way.

I still believe Reed and Davis are good writers and I will celebrate them silently for their indie works whether I watch it or not.

But TSAMS needs to die.

This is definitely one of the pieces I’ve spent the longest on. My typical pieces are 1-2 hours, this took 5!

I was struggling like CRAZY with hands, the butcher knife, and rays. Though when the Unus Annus stream dropped, I was legit possessed and NEVER struggled since. Unus Annus makes me feel like I can do anything, man. Mark & Ethan are a big beacon of hope for me.

RANT / PREDICTION BREAKDOWN / SPOILERS

Quick Disclaimer: The “Prophet” joke is completely one sided, stemming off of constant accidental and completely coincidental predictions that just keep happening over and over. It’s literally impossible for Davis to be leaching these ideas as I don’t really post half of the predictions I make, because most of it is personal-use ideas, facts, science, and world building. That being said, this has happened over ~10 times. For the most part, it’s funny, it’s nice to laugh at. As of recent, it’s felt like a curse.

I would also like to make a separate rant about the science in this episode in general, but this post is just me screaming and crying like a little man who never matured past 3rd grade.

For those who stick around to see my sub-au’s, I have an au called Pine Ridge AU, in which it’s based in a human world with altered canon events and more side stories and development. It’s a personal AU I don’t often promote, but has a lot of story for.

In this AU, Dr. Eclipse, the main protagonist, meets with Dr. Drop (Moon) as workers and brothers who discover the Star. It causes complications, burns an already broken bridge of family, gets people harmed, and progressively digs it’s Star Power into Eclipse’s brain and binds him permanently to it.

I do a lot of Star science, as it is relevant to most of my stories, because it’s always tied in with Eclipse.

A canon fact about the Star, is that it links with the first person who uses it, which was often Eclipse. That’s a fact for the PR AU as well. Though, the more the binded man uses it, the more the Star claims.

The Star starts a process in which it tries to return the barer to itself, and become one. It registers that living connection as if it is nothing but more Star Power for itself, that just needs to be transformed. Similar to how energy is always present, but simply changes in form. The Star is turning Eclipse from a man to Star Power.

Usually, that process takes far longer than a human lifespan lasts (billions of years), but the more it is used, the shorter that time span gets. This is what happens to Dark Sun.

This comic is months to maybe a year old, but this is the scene in this AU where Dr. Ruin & Dr. Eclipse find out that Eclipse is on violently shortening time.

Any hannibal fans in chat? I digress.

The end goal of this is terminal. Eclipse will eventually pass away, but his soul will not belong to an afterlife, but the Star instead. He will, as some people might say, “become something greater”.

And now it’s canon. The science is canon, and it’s happening to Dark Sun.

Don’t mind the bath towel, Ruin just got done showering away is self loathing and tragedy after having one of the worst mental spirals of his life. Then he only has an avoidant-attachment Dr. Eclipse to try and “ease his worries” by telling him to “man the fuck up like the high profile doctor you are”, being gender confirming and humanizing while simultaneously being an asshole. Bro can do it all.

The two doctors don’t know of each other very well. They work in a large lab but shockingly still manage to discover each other behind piles of procrastinated papers and files. They’d forget each other easier if they ever talked to anyone else, but the other employees seem…like they’d be worse company than each other already are.

Conversations typically go like this: Ruin will find Eclipse working, try to strike up a conversation, and immediately get shut down. Over and over. Though, Ruin’s curiosity keeps him coming back. In rare moments, rare like this picture…Ruin will be on the lower end of a one-sided conversation. Eclipse will finally perk up his head, and speak back. It’s small, but every time he does, he drops a little bit of evidence that he’s listening. He listens to every single attempt Ruin gives. It’s a bittersweet kind of partnership. AND I LOVE THEM
