Well, just accidentally gauged one of my ear piercings. An 18g surgical steel earring ripped out causing it to go from 18 to probably 12 or 14. I dont even want to say how. it could only happen to me. Short version, 130 pound Saint Bernard, retractable leash, caught in horseshoe surgical steel earring. Blood everywhere.
