earl-c-phantomhive replied to your post:"Sebastian, I'm bored, do something about it."
"Perhaps we could play some chess."
"Chess, my lord?" His tone was inquisitive, but only subtly so. Chess had been the young earl's favourite pastime to indulge in whenever his aunt came to visit. Of course, that was before—
He halted that thought. Not out of any sense of sentimentality or — what a laughable notion — pity, but simply because he did not have the time to waste on things like that currently. He'd been told an indirect order — if it was suggested, then it was likely his young master wished it to be so, after all — and he would, of course, oblige.
"Most certainly. Allow me to fetch the board right away." Ah, and of course— "Would you wish something to accompany your game, my lord? Tea, perhaps?"
He would bet half his contract with the child (though not really, of course) that Ciel would jump straight on the opportunity of receiving an extra serving cake.
Anything else would be horribly out of character, after all.
