How to Make Pumpkin, Carrot and ginger soup!

Finely slice a large onion and peel and chop roughly a kilo of carrots, depending how pumpkiny you want it add half or all of the pumpkin and chop it up finely (remember to gut it first)

Grate a piece of ginger about the size of a matchbox (go bigger or smaller if you want it more or less spicy)

Finely chop half a red chili (tAKE THE SEED OUT-unless you like em)

Take a Large heavy based saucepan, put in two table spoons of olive oil and a small knob of butter

Very gently fry the onions and ginger for 10 to 15 minutes (do not brown onions- ‘sweat them’)

Then add chopped carrots and pumpkin and finely chopped chili and gently fry them until they are covered in oil and let them sweat for another 10 minutes.

Add about a litre of chicken stock and gently simmer for about 45/Hour (you could do it in a pressure cooker and that will only take 10 to 15 minutes)

Step Eight: When you’re sure the carrots and pumpkin are cooked and soft, you liquidize it with a hand held liquidizer.

Step Nine: Thats it! Optionals: Garlic, cream, lemon zest, coriander

Skeleton Face

It was dark and heavily raining as everyday in this town, but everyone just went on about their day, used to being soaked.

Jaime had just gotten back from getting breakfast, turning the mystery shop sign to ‘open’ and turning on the lights.

It wasn’t long before familiar people or…things…started coming in and out making purchases, but someone new came though the door today.

“Bienvenida! Welcome!” He said said quite loud while looking at his phone. He had heard the bell above the door but the shelves were too high for him to see as usual. @earldeen

A few friends had brought her to a strip club, thinking it was a good idea for an eighteenth birthday. She had been blind folded and didn’t know where she was until they took it off. Her friends yelling ‘Surprise’ didn’t make it any better either, but she didn’t argue. At least they cared.

One of her male friends that had worked there and happened to be off today knowing she was squeamish about these type of settings. He gave her some money to go get herself a drink, pointing her in the direction of the bar.
