The solo projects of the members of The Beach Boys that happened thanks to their 15 Big Ones showed the divergent state of their interests. One is not surprised to see the group really suffered then, each of them wanted to do his own thing, though Dennis Wilson topped them all. You see, he did something incredible with his Pacific Ocean Blue, i.e. he made a record that served as both an apotheosis and a rejection of the band's image. The album hits us with a melancholic outlook of a man who knew he made many mistakes, which is why the LP contains some of the bleakest music, connected with The Beach Boys. However, as you can hear in the link there's a certain catharsis in all of this, you can see Dennis Wilson singing these songs to calm himself during his night walks on a beach.
