Had an absolutely brilliant day today at the Port Eliot (@porteliot_estate) in a very sunny St Germans. I’ve wanted to visit Port Eliot house for a long, ling time so was thrilled to visit today. It’s a house that has definitely been lived in that’s for sure. Home to the late Earl of St Germans Peregrine Eliot and his wife the Countess of St Germans @cathystgermans the estate goes back to Saxon times and is a grade one listed building and grounds. I was taken aback by the famous round room and it’s fabulous mural. The only downside to the visit was that there was no photography allowed. The tour guides where well versed in the history of the house and the history of the aristocratic Eliot family.
