This is a gift subscription from a mother to her newly minted 4 year old daughter. For the next 12 months, while the family awaits the birth of their baby boy, this bright eyed 4 year old will receive a collage postcard each month. Like pages in a book, each one will tell part of a story. The book (which some you will surely recognize) is called "We Look and See". It is about the adventures of Jane, Dick, and their dog Spot. I scanned the book, embellishing each postcard with cut/paste collage. My hope is that the wee recipient will learn to read the words of the story, sounding out the letter forms, building on her reading skills month after month. Over time the postcard puzzle will grow to be 12" x 24", 3 columns by 4 rows. . . .
