The Honorable Judge allowed Arkuan to howl and spit as Flair patched up his wounds in her “medical bay”. His words came out strangely thanks to the new metal teeth that replaced his old set.
“It is impressive that the Dokuchi Reckoner boss can be as brutal as me,” Flair said as she checked another injury.
“The little oni bastard just took my teeth, that fucking witch did the rest!”
“You got your ass kicked by an old lady?”
“For the sake of my already-beaten ego, let’s go with ‘skilled and experienced woman’.”
“Executioner,” the Honorable Judge finally said, “I have come to my conclusion of what should be done next.”
Arkuan perked up, his ears and eyes both focused on the High Fae. “What is it, Your Honor?”
“You will go after a different family member. One that has not received warning of you. Bishop Llorente Colmenares.”
Rune stared down at Crow’s three cards. It was just as worried as they were, and since they were the one with the stomach, it was Rune’s that was tying into a knot.

“We can’t let this happen,” Rune whispered. “We can’t let this future become set in stone.” They took a picture of the cards and directly messaged it to someone, then turned on the speech to text and tried to speak slowly enough for it to pick up their voice. “Koda Hayashi. You need to see this. Do what you can to prevent it. It’s happening soon.”

Don't depend on the biosystem for your survival. In this world we must learn to be independent and depend only on ourselves. Independence is a virtue. Construct your own closed self sustaining environment independent of the earth and the sun, and live there. That's the way to be a strong independent person. Don't rely on the earth to keep you alive. After all it's just a big rock. I've never met a rock I'd want to depend on.
